Yuuki shivered from the cool night breeze upon her back. The full moon shone above her like a luminous calling. Suddenly, a soft rustling of leaves was behind her. Yuuki swiftly pulled out her pole and turned around. To her surprise, inches away from her weapon was Kaname's face.
"What are you doing out this late, Yuuki? Shouldn't you be in your room by now? Night classes have just finished, so let me escort you back to your dorm."
Kaname pushed his hand on the small of Yuuki's back, leading her in the other direction toward the Day Class dorms. As the two walked silently across campus, Yuuki noticed that Kaname looked nervous.
Kaname turned toward Yukki frantically. "Yuuki, go ahead of me," he said with an unsteady voice. But Yukki didn't move.
"What is the problem, Kaname? Are you mad at me?" Yuuki asked. She saw the worry and panic in his eyes. Kaname tried to push her through the dorm door fast enough, but his plan didn't work.
"What are you-" But Yuuki couldn't finish her sentence. She was cut off by her own screech of pain.

Yuuki woke up the next morning with Kaname, Zero, and the Headmaster all crouded around her. Her neck was throbbing to her pulse. She sat up in the bed.
"Wh...what happened last night? Why am I at the nurses'?" Yukki inquired while grabbing her neck with both hands. Everyone's expressions grew pained. The Headmaster was the first to talk.
"Yukki, last night you were attacked."
She just stared around. Everyone knew that she had her blood taken many times. Why was this any different? Kaname could tell she was confused. Zero stomped out of the room just as Kaname let out a sigh.
"This wasn't just any vampire Yukki!" Kaname said with a strained voice. "It was a...a pureblood."

zero:*stares coldly*
authoress: hey...
kaname: aww it's ok come here ^.^ *holds arms out for a hug*
authoress: *bright smile* OK! wait...i said i wouldn't do this! (in public ._.)

Yuuki slowly walked through the days. Each day drug on longer than the last. Zero and Kaname left her alone for a while, but they just couldn't handle watching yuuki ust waste her days away, not to mention alone.
Zero walked up to Yukki after class. She tried to walk around him, but he kept moving in her way (like waltzing ^_^). "How long are you going to be like this? Just moping (sp?) around?"
Yuuki finally got around Zero as he said this, But her grabbed her by the shoulders and turned around so she was barely inches away from his face. "Don't turn away from me, Yuuki. Please..." Zero turned a deep red when he finished his sentance. "I just need you to stay with me."
Zero braced himself in case Yuuki ran away, but this time, she just teared up. Zero, surprised, studdered out some words. "I...I'm sorry! I didn't wanna make you cry!" Zero grabbed Yukki and pulled her close.
Yuuki looked up into Zero's deep eyes in wonder. "Zero...you didn't make me cry. I...um...lllloooo....never mind. Can you just hold me for a bit?"
Zero nodded his head. They stood in that hallway for what seemed like forever, just comforting each other with their embrace.

The next day, Kaname noticed Yuuki was looking a lot brighter. He approched her silently.
"I see you are looking in a better mood today." Kaname said in a (sexy ^_^) half smile.
Yuuki grinned wildly and ran up to Kaname. "Yeah! Yesterday, I thought to myself, Zero is like me and is fine (well...besides the fact that he is like an emo kid...an AWESOME emo kid biggrin ), so I know I will be fine, too! I have allies," she said happily.
Kaname's face went blank. Thoughts of hatred toward Zero were brought to the front his mind, but he carefully pushed the feelings away. He moved closer to Yuuki.
"You don't just have Zero, you know. I am here for you, too." A certain akwardness fell over them both (notice how it's totally different with Kaname. lol).
Yuuki turned around to leave. "Well, I have to-" but she was cut off. Kaname didn't want her to go just yet.
"What if we could find the vampire that bit you? You could drink it's blood and become human again (I don't know if this is how it works, but this is how I am writing it so don't get mad if I am wrong ._.)."
Yuuki didn't have to think about this idea for long. After a few seconds, Yuuki agreed under one condition. "Zero has to come with us also." Kaname nodded and Yuuki gave him a quick hug before heading off to tell Zero of the newly established plans.

That night, Kaname made a promise with himself. A horrible, dark secret.



authoress: aww zero you need to smooch her or SOMETHING!
zero: you are obviosly a blonde. you right (see..it need to be 'write') this crap! I do whatever you want!
authoress: whatever...I...want? hmmmm *fantasizes of cheese*
kaname: WHAT THE MUG?!
authoress: mug? OH YEAH! that reminds me, I need...*blabbers on while Zero and Kaname fall alseep*

As Yuuki quietly gathered a few things she would need for her newly established quest, she wrote a letter to the Headmaster explaining Zero, Kaname, and her own surprising disapearence.

Dear Headmaster/Dad,

I am sure you are wondering where we three have went so suddenly with no message of where we are going or when we will be back. All I can hope for is that you trust us, trust me, to be home safely and with haste. I will promise you to be back.

Love,
Yuuki

Yuuki finished the letter and sealed it in an envolope. She walked down the hallway and slid the note under the Headmaster's office door. Yuuki then quickly walked down the corrider to meet up with Zero and Kaname.
When she arrived outside, both of the boys were already waiting for her.
Kaname looked at Yuuki. "Did you give him the letter?" Yuuki walked past the two and replied, "Yeah, I slid it under the door."
The three left the grounds (don't ask how. geez ._.) and ventured out into the world. They passed through the village with a fast pace, until Yuuki suddenly stopped. Kaname turned around. "What's the matter? Something wrong?"
"Umm...wh...where are we going? Do you even know where this vampire is?"
Zero suddenly looked shocked also. "Yeah! Where the heck do you plan to take us?" he said in an angry voice.
Kaname just chuckled. "Look, it wasn't my idea to bring you along, so don't bother me. As for where we are going, we are going in the general direction of Translyvania. I have been studing the paths of this vampire, and it is mostly killing in a path that leads straight to there. We should be there in a couple of days by foot (pretend the academy is close to translyvania >.<)."
Both Yuuki and Zero looked at each other. Zero mumbled under his breath, "Good thing Yuuki needs this and I don't trust Kaname, or I would have been gone already."
Kaname (using his super-cool vampire hearing) heard this comment. As he almost yelled at Zero, he, just in time, restained himself. He didn't want Yuuki mad at him the whole way, after all. His plan would be messed up.

Morning had come and the group had been walking for nearly eight hours strait. (i think kaname can walk in sun right? oh well if he can't he can now ._.) They decided to stop and rest for a while.
After five hours of sleeping in a found shelter in a small cave (they are in the woods. haha), Yuuki woke up to a soft rustling.
"Wh..who is that?"
Yuuki noticed Kaname was gone and went to check outside the opening quick. She was suddenly snatched by someone from behind.

authoress: *picks up rice with her fingers and eats it*
zero: (dressed up as win pei or whatever) *throws rice on floor* if you eat like a dog you sleep like a dog!!!!!! rawr! *throws beard*
authoress:*wags tail and goes outside*
kaname: authoress, you are lame.
