randomfuzzy x-Iris_Rain-x I love the story of Orphius and Eurydice 3nodding So sad, yet so good. And I love Artemis and Apollo, too. Go twins! Whenever I read it I just get real annoyed at Orpheus... He messes everything up xp Favourite god/dess? Probably Athena, or maybe Dionysus... i like them all. Impatient b*****d. He just couldn't wait, could he!?

Zoe green eyes I have always enjoyed Greek Mythology. Have you read the Oddessey? I really think it is neat that the Greeks had good enough imaginations to come up with excuses for natural disasters. I've read the Odyssey - did you know that there was a Celtic equivalent? It's not part of the Mabinogion as far as I'm aware, though. The Voyage of Bran, later re-worked and combined with more Christian imagery to form the Voyage of Maeldun instead.
My favourite deity is Nyx, lesser-known perhaps but very powerful, the Goddess of the Night. She was Zeus's aunt (apologies for the familiarity of language), and one of only two deities whom he every feared. For some unfathomable reason, who the second one was is beyond me.
I've actually written a piece of fanfiction, not about Nyx. It was one variation of the Artemis and Orion mythology, of which there are a great many. Am I allowed to link? If not, please say and I'll delete it. Artemis the Huntress. Some Artemis 'puritans' (if you'll pardon the term) may not like the version of the story that I have used, so I'll warn you of that now. I'm not promising that it'll be particularly good either, as it was written some time ago now. Anyway, I'll stop babbling now, I think...
