Well, the GD strikes again.

Take a gander.

It's common, yes. But that doesn't make it funny and it should not be accepted. It really destroys a good time. What sucks the most is that there were more people LAUGHING at this thread than there were defending the person...and she doesn't even know that it's going on. Now I got really mad and defended her. I'm sure my picture will be up next and everyone will have a good laugh...and my comments will be filled with evil words. I just hate it though, you know? It's almost as if the entire world is a two sided card. On one hand, large women are desired, loved and accepted. And on the other, we have people still saying "eew" and not accepting.

Sorry...I'm just so mad..ugh!! gonk

That's just one of those lose-lose situations.

I mean, if you respond it's just giving them want they want. Attention. Most likely that girl wanted people to lecture her because it would amuse her.

Saying nothing and letting it go would help to keep her from thinking she'd get attention when doing it... but it's natural to try and point out how horrible it is. However, it's not like the girl didn't know what she was doing was mean and stupid... she just wanted to see how many people she could get reactions out of.

I'm inclined to agree with Ghosty on this. Any sort of response here really just lets the thread creator soak up attention and bumps up the thread. However, that really is in very poor taste and I think it's only right that it was pointed out how malicious something like that is.

I am going to have to say that I agree with both Ghosty and Countess on this one, a response will only fuel the fire, but I was a little angry at some ignorant persons stupid opinion, that I had to comment on the fact that they spelled similarities wrong. And I figured that I would report the thread to the mods and hopefully they will take care of it, if they don't, I can bug them all day. To the young lady in that thread I hope that she doesn't let this bring her down.

I know...I know. I hate to give attention whores what they want. sweatdrop It just irks me anytime I see someone making fun of someone else.

Yeah, it's stupid.

I noticed a horrible misspelling in there, and I wanted to point it out but I had to resist because I didn't want to bump the thread.

People will always have a nasty comment to say about another person, big or not. It never makes it justifiable. I think it's safe to say we've all been through some sort of harrassment like that, and I agree, it's immature and it really shows the cracks in someone's character.

I think Gaia mods need to wake up. Talking about someone like that is hateful, and there should be zero tolerance with those who decide to act in such a rude manner. It's no different than saying a nasty thing about their religion or race...it's all hate.

Later on in life, when she reflects on her inner self, I hope that she realizes that it wasn't the imperfections of others that caused her to conjure up such negative thoughts, but it was of her own doing. Her imperfections, both physical and otherwise, is what makes her so cruel to those that don't deserve it.

And for that, I feel an overwhelming sense of pity to know she walks such a hateful path.
