JackKun darkrose_eve asgard_seven HolyKnightHamster I've always liked FF:Tactics. When Teta died, it was much worse then Aeris or Lenne's death. My second favorite FF is 8. Rinoa is mine! I wasn't ever a big fan of Aerith. I liked Tifa more anyway, and Yuffie even more than Tifa. So when Aerith died, I think I may have actually laughed a little. You too? I hated Aeris in a way. She was too goody-goody for my tastes. Tifa is better for Cloud anyway. There really aren't a huge amount of Aeris/Aerith fans that I've met.... And hello there Final Fantasy in Grammar Mode thread. I've never really met many Aeris/Aerith fans but if you read fan fiction you'll notice that there seem to be more Aeris/Aerith fans than anything.

I am one, and have written numerous Aeris/Tifa fganfics. I even wrote one entitled: "Cloud's lovers become lovers." Sounds weird, and it is actually quite funny, according tio the 56 comments.

I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan, have been ever since it first came out in the US back in '86. I still have the very first game.
To date, I own FF 1 (NES), FF 2&3 (SNES), FF 4-7, 9, Tactics (PSX), and FF Crystal Chronicles (GCube). Although, I have to say, my favorites are FF 4, 7, and Tactics.
I was never a very big fan of 8, or any of the PS2 releases (Dirge of Cerberus not included). I always adhered more strongly to the heavy fantasy elements; in Tactics it was still "old world" enough to appease my sense of detachment from the modern world, and 7 was so extremely out there that it's technology was alien enough to avoid that aversion to reality.
I never got into 9 either, honestly, and I can't really say why. I don't know if the hero was to cliche for me, or if the ending just ruined the whole damn chase.

Ah, glad to see a newcomer on board the conversation! I believe I own pretty much teh same as you do currently (thank goodness for ebay!), with the exception that I don't own FF 1 and FFCC. To be perfectly honest, FFCC annoyed me too much. I have also discovered a new love. 8-Bit Theater. I don't know if anyone here has heard of it, but myself being the video game nerd I am, I really enjoy reading it. Luxx Aeternam FFVIII is the best! I don't know why, but I love romances... And for anyone who is concerned, Kuja could easily kill Sephiroth. Honestly, Kuja destroyed an entire planet with one Ultima, and then went on to destroy the universe! Sephiroth is a Kuja wanna-be. Sephiroth just pretty much walked around, trying to look tough. Then he got thrashed by Cloud, who didn't even try to act tough. Then in Kingdom Hearts he tried to be like Sephiroth and got thrashed by Hades, so that's just cool. I like Final Fantasy VIII the best too. Final Fantasy X is good, too. I like the graphics on that one. Favourite Final Fantasy character of all time: Zell.

Hard choice between FFVIII and FFX.
The one thing that bothers me about FFVIII: You never know why Ultimecia wants to compress time. I think it was Odine who said something to the effect of "Why? We'll never know. Anyway..."
I've read some really convulted theories, and my favorite one is that arrow Ultimecia is Rinoa. GF Greiver is Squall. On disc 3, Rinny says something to the effect of: "I don't want to lose you in the future... I want now to last forever." Time compression, much? exclaim If anyone has exact quotes, feel free to correct me. 3nodding
@Luxx Aeternam: The only one of those I could disagree with is Tidus~Cloud. They don't act hugely similar, but there is a bit of it there.
Actually, when I was playing FFX, I saw Yuna's face in the FMV and said, "Did they just re-dress the Rinoa?" They look eerily similar...
Favorite character: Erm... hard to choose... though I've always like Quistis. She needs more lines. whee Then there was Locke, and Cait Sith. Hm... Guy from FFII. Just because of the one line: "Guy speak beaver." Utter hilarity ensues.
