How do i practise seeing auras? i have tried to open my third eye, and all i can see is a bunch of blurry colours...

That would be your start. Aside from that, it's practice. Keep doing it. Over and over. Pay attention to what colors go with what person. Much like everything else, I'm afraid any kind of "magic" senses require practice to develop.

I've read somewhere that using your peripheral version, or however it is spelt as it doesn't look right, assists you in it. But don't trust me on that.

No, Siarnaqth, you spelled it right. I've heard the peripheral vision thing as well, and I've also heard that those stare-until-you-see-the-sailboat pictures can also help...but mostly I think that's just helpful advice for figuring out how to see auras at all, not so much for enhancing clarity. I'm not visually oriented, so I've never tested these things out.

i read somewhere that if your in a dark room and you hold your hands in the air and stare at them soon you will see your aura but i dont think it works

You can indeed see colours, but I'm not srue if it's aura. How do you "open your third eye"? I would like to try and see auras, but i've never heard any of this stuff.

My lesson on opening your third eye. The FLCL Guy Lesson five
Seeing energy(third eye)
Now to teach you guys how to see energy.
There is many methods most use your third eye.
Im gonna teach you a couple ways to do it.
The first is Sensing or "feeling" energy.
Start by meditating on your suroundings with your eyes open.
Try to notice everything but dont try to particuly remeber anything.
Now relax for a second and then close your eyes and try to feel the energy of the room and kinda go throw everything in your mind while you feel its energy.
Practice that often even if you use another technique becuase its very relaxing and helps with energy manipulation.
Next a common third eye technique.
Start by meditating alittle and feeling the energy around you then with your eyes closed focus on trying to see things through your eye lids and if you can try to imagine you are seeing with your third eye.
Another third eye technique is meditate for alittle bit like always then while feeling your own aura close your eyes then slowly open them imagining your third eye opening with your normal eyes.
This works for some but not others.
Now for the most effective technique.
You normaly see energy but dont aknoledge it so this technique will use your normal eyes to see energy.
Get a friend or someone you can stare at without them getting offended by it.
Now focus on them at first then try to look through them kinda like one of those magic eye pictures and try to notice the weird fuzzy line thing around them and practice this for a while then move onto normal objects like a chair or something then try to do it to nothing and try to see if you can see kinda like the energy moving and binding around things.
After a while practicing these techniques you will start to see energy like it was normal objects and eventurely you will see ghosts and such.
Well this concludes this lesson.
