"Well I truly don't have any. I don't find pleasure in g irls throwing themselves over me because of them knowing my brother and thinking that I'd be like him. So do you have many 'men freinds'?" Donte asked knowing that sounded retarded.

"A few," Scarlet paused, "acquaintances I guess you could say." she said, putting on an air like she was above her so-called acquaintances and was quite indifferent about them. "However, I must admit that they are all the same, and quite frankly I wish my father would quit trying to find suitors for me, he picks out some awfully boring people."

"Well then I guess it is no coincidence that we have met, being on the same boat and all," Scarlet said to Donte, laughing a little at herself. "oh I do apologize," she said, "sometimes my sense of humor is a little..." she paused for the word, "off."
Aiden watched the two as they laughed and chatted, but kept his expression indifferent and observed the others in the crowd as well. There was his beloved sister, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth was having a lovely time as her favorite song began to play, and a most elegantly dressed young man asked her to dance. She accepted quickly and had a good time dancing with him. When the song was over, he produced a rose for her and she thanked him for it and the dance, and went along mingling with the people.
