For those of you who don't know, F.A.Q. stands for Frequently Asked Questions. I looked over alot of the questions about Dot//Hack and decided to answer some of the more frequent.
Q: Who is Tri-edge and why do people PKed by him go into a coma in real life?
A: Tri-edge is known as Azure Kite, he was created from the information that was taken from the origional Kite when he was first data drained. Not much else is known about him yet, I will update this ASAP
Q: What are the "avatars" really?
A: The avatars are the manifestation of bug data that seems to come into existance as soon as a specific player's mind comes into contact with the game. Avatar's though they did not have the same name, existed long before .Dot//Hack G.U. Rebirth, One showed up which was what origionally data drained Kite (Side note: The one that data drained Kite looks alot like Skeith from G.U. which may explain "Tri-edge's" ability to go to R:2 with Skeith or it could be a coincidence.) one also made a very regular appearance in .Dot//Hack Sign as Tsukasa's guardian (Side note UNDERLINE TO SEE: She only acts like his guardian, she is actually trying to force negative thoughts into Tsukasa's mind that will stunt the development of Aura) who, though many of you may disagree with that seeing how it looks alot like AIDA from G.U. as well.

A1: Azure Kite is a copy of the original Kite, his origins are unknown. Azure Kite IS a copy of Kite, meaning he has the same strength, abilities, personality, and even some memories. It is highly speculated Azure Kite is part of the TSN System.

Terminology
Epitaph- The Morganna Factor. (Phases)
Epitaph User- A character that uses an Epitaph.
Chosen One- A person that has a personality trait the same as the Epitaphs. (Leads to becoming an Epitaph User)
The Avatars are reincarnations of the Morganna Factor. The Avatars are made from gathering data of the Epitaphs. Since they were destroyed and recreated, the Avatars do not have any memories of their past as Phases. However they may retain some of their emotional development.
The purpose of the Avatars were to recreate Aura, or to bring her back. The Avatars chose their candidates after the RA Project "failed". When a character that appeals to the Avatar is created, they fuse their data to the character. In other words, from the point an Epitaph User is created, the Epitaph's data is inside of it.
If the Epitaph is removed from the Epitaph User, the PC's data will crumble and break apart, Epitaph User's require the Epitaph in order to stay intact. If the Epitaph User changes personality and no longer has the same personality trait as the Epitaph, they will no longer be a Chosen One, and it can leave. However, it seems in Haseo's case, he was able to remain as an Epitaph User despite not being a Chosen One anymore. Skeith was about to leave Haseo but he was able to influence Skeith to stay through some dramatic speech, through this we know that Skeith has emotions.
