Ah, thank you for bringing that to my attention, and I have run it by Kyou. I wasn't aware of it before, and I just needed some clarification. I do need to clean up this thread, definitely, and I have taken the other considerations for a soul down, especially since there's no point in keeping them up if I'm not as serious about them.
And also, thank you for the critiques, everyone~

If you're still considering a dream-related creature, you could try a nightmare, a nocnitsa, a dream guide (or spirit guide), a trauco, or dahdahwat.
Even narcotic or hallucinogenic plants (poppy, morning glory, peyote, iboga), fungi (fly agaric mushroom, laughing gym mushroom, blue meanie) or animals (cane toad) could be a consideration.

I'm just leaving a suggestion: You might want to take off the Kirin soul and the Kyuketsui. One of the NPC'd raevan, Sisay, had a Kirin soul. And a Kyuketsui is basically a vampire, which falls until the "no sentient beings" rule.

I feel like sentient isn't the word you're looking for--perhaps you mean that it seems too much like a deity? I'd like to know why you believe that it is improper. I am, on a side-note rethinking the soul anyways, but I'm still curious to the reasoning. Thanks for the feedback!

No, deity isn't the right word either.
I'm coming back to this after a year and 3 months so I don't have an answer for you anymore (maybe you should have asked earlier haha), but you should run it through with Ravi or Kyou just in case. If either of them gives you the thumbs up then go for it. o u o
Good luck!

I think the rule got confused somewhere along the line but it's basically "nothing human" or nothing that was "once human". So a vampire in its original mythology would not work if it were a legitimate human being once. A werewolf would not work because it is human most of the time. A standard ghost wouldn't work if it was just a human spirit. Etc etc etc.

Oh. Thanks for the replies, guys! It was definitely not clear when I looked at the guidelines, so I will now keep this in mind.
