I can get bunches more because I buy them cheap!" 3nodding xB i was surprised to see that Macy's had the same kind of shirt as walmart for 30 bucks compared to 7 at walmart, and the same kind of jeans 70 dollars compared to walmarts 25.... O.o) why would i want to pay more for the same jeans? Stupidity? O.o)

If someone gives you s**t for being at walmart you just say
"Hey, sure i was there but so were you Cheapie mc Cheap cheap"
then walk away.

I feel as if I'm on a field trip or something whenever I go to this New Big Walmart that's right by us cause things are cheap. But sometimes I also feel sorry for some adults too, cause businesses and high paying jobs would like. Get taken down just so Walmart could expand and all. And I hear China's complaining a little bit about that. So. whee stressed

Well, hmm.. working there is good. Working there gets you really nice benifits(dental medical etc.), an above min wage paying job with annual raises. You also get vaccation time and sick leave time. so all being said, it's a good job. However. I started working the same day as this other guy. who got the job i applied for. (elecronics) and i got stuck doing cashiering. i wasn't too upset about it. Im good at the register. About a month later, he got a raise, he told me what his pay was, and i was like, wait - what was your starting pay? and it was two bucks more than my starting pay! Also, we applied at the same time, he didn't apply for Electronics but got placed there over someone who actually asked to be there, i assume because I am a woman, and they wanted a guy in that spot. (i knew way more about video games than he did too)
I also got denied my pay raise because my manager said i wasn't "redling" she had only worked with me once! And when she asked me to redline when i was cleaning up my area, i immediatly stopped what i was doing to go stand in the isle and ... wait... The managers I actually worked with said that they would back me up, and tell the store manager that i actually did redline but he wasn't interested, it was easier for him to just deny the pay rasie. when i went and talked to him about it, he said "so your saying your CSM (manager) was lieing?" and i said - "her information wasn't complete. She only worked with me once." and he ushered me out of his office and shut the door.
They treat women (at least at my old store) like they are children. - and i don't mean in a good way.
I guess I'm venting somewhat, and also sending mixed messages. a woman can suceed at walmart, they have. but I myself was treated pretty poor. Hell i had to quit when my son was in the hospital at deaths door, and Walmart couldn't see fit to let me have those days off... I remember them screaming at me on the phone that i HAD TO COME TO WORK. I was 60 miles away in a hospital by my 1 year old's bedside, and i wasn't about to leave.
Oh yeah, as a side note, i was informed later that the CSM that nixed my payraise was a bigot, and white girls who worked under her always had a hard time.

My husband's sister and aunt both work at Walmart. His sister works in the photolab and gets dicked around with frequently. >.< His aunt however, is the manager of electronics and dominates that place. o.o She's a scary, scary woman. Maybe one just needs to be scary to succeed at Walmart?

Maybe one just needs to be scary to succeed at Walmart? x0 Well. Since stuff are cheap there. I'm guessing there's a whole new different world there in Walmart. With so many different ppl. haha lol

If others are really so shallow and stupid enough to tease you cause you'd rather not spend $100 per pair of jeans then whatever. True the designer brands might be really cute and really popular but you can find things just as cute and lots cheaper at places like Wal-mart and in a few years you'll laugh at people who worry about where thier clothes come from, there is so much more to life. My grandma likes shopping for clearence clothing and she can get 5 shits and 5 pants for $50 or less sometimes, thats less then $5 an item, but I still have people asking where I got my outfit and they are shocked and jellous when they hear I got it at a cheap store on clearence. eh you're right. I've sort of realized they have stuff I've seen before but only cheaper. Now only if my dad would take me to walmart... -.- lol Tight, I'm a size 4. biggrin At walmart though, since their sizes are completely weird, I'm a size 8 or 9. D: don't feel bad, most companies sizes are all completely different. I can fit in anything from a 3 in designer brands like Baby Phat to a 11 in L.E.I. non-strech pants. and the 11 doesn't bother me cause I know all my other pants are 3s and 5s =)

O.o) My grandma works at Mervyns and they sell a few of the same brands as Macy's but going to Mervyns you can get the same shirt you saw at Macy's for $15-$30 dollors less, it's crazy, people only pay that much for a silly shirt so they can say 'I got it at Macy's' cause they hope someone will think 'ohhh, Macy's, she must be spoiled or rich. how lucky'
