Bio: Melody spent most of her life living in Destiny Islands. (The complete other side of the island where Sora, Riku and Kairi lived.) She lived with her mother and older brother above a surf shop that they owned and took care of. Her mother, April Casey Castle, and father built the surf shop with help from her brother, Lance Dante Castle while she was pregnant with Melody. It's now named after her. (Mel's Surf Shop.) Unfortunately, her father died before she was born and just after the shop was finished. Then one day an indescribable darkness came over the island as if a really bad tropical storm was coming. Her mother was lost to the Shadows and her brother turned into one. Even though he'd lost his heart, Lance's desire to protect Melody was still there. Melody was knocked out and when she awoke she found herself in a strange new world which she later found out to be Traverse Town. For a while she worked in the restaurant there but then was moved to Twilight Town to work in the newly built restaurant that was opened there. Her brother, now a Shadow, has become like her pet and still protects her whenever he can.
Appear: Long brown hair tied up in a tight ponytail right in the center of the back of her head. Bright green eyes. A loose fitting whitish beige sweater and a mid length floral print skirt. On top of that is a long white apron with the restaurants name embroidered on it. wooden sandals with a leather strap.

Hmm... the "pet" heartless is certainly interesting, but it seems to contradict one's behavior. Heartless are merely a vessel for hearts which have been lost, so they run purely on instinct; they don't have the intellect to tell an enemy from a apricot, except for the fact most apricots have hearts.
While it's theoretically possible considering Sora's behavior during his short time as a Shadow, it seems too much of a stretch. It would almost seem like controlling two characters (plus Lance would be easy pickings for opponents as a lowly Shadow). But hear the mods' opinions - I'll specifically point this out to them so we can get some other opinions.
