Does your GPC have ANY bases at all, or do they just look damn good together? I don't know if it's a difference of taste, or that some writers wants plot to match (not ALL do, I know that from all the *shudder* KabuSaku on ff.net. Seriously. OroKabu, and KabuSaku are the most popular pairs for Kabuto on ff.net. It makes me cry.)
Example of pairs that make no sense:
Itachi/Neiji (Ohhh, the hair~! But they're NEVER met and have NO reason to be together. Unless Neiji killed all the Hyuuga's.)
Deidara/Ino (WTF!)
Sasori/Sakura (Uh...when did this happen?)
Gai/Shikamaru (Wut??)
Orochimaru/Lee (My roomate who's nickname is Lee said this one XD Should I worry about him?)
Jiraiya/Lee (He said this one too... I worry XD)
Gaara/Neiji
Ok, pairs that are unlikly, but CAN make sense:
Itachi/Sasuke (Yes, it's crack, but I really could see it being plotwise. ******** up, but plotwise.)
Kakashi/Sasuke (I don't like it, and in my opinion it's crack, but possible of course)
Deidara(/Sasori)/Gaara
Orochimaru/Itachi (Or vice versa)
Umm... I can't think of that many to go here lol So list some of your own! Um... List as 1st Catagory, and 2nd catagory. For example:
My 1st catagory, no sense:
Orochimaru/Neiji (Eh... it would be hot. And a Neiji joined the rp group I'm in XD)
2nd Catagory:
Well, to be honest... XD
Kakashi/Kabuto. I can see it since they kind of have a cat/dog thing. During the Chuunin exams, the when Kabuto got away. That extra little teasing smirk he gave him, and then Kakashi seeming to let him slip away right after the Oto attacked and they were standing in the areana. Mmm... My top GPC.
Jiraiya/Kabuto. WUT?! XD I love it. It would be angsty as hell. This goes off the assumption that Jiraiya slept with Orochimaru (which I think is a cannon pairing), and that the two would both lament not really being able to have him, since he doesn't seem to have those feelings for anyone anymore.

I've seen:
orochineji: wtf! shudder
orochilee: again, wtf!
lee/hina: wtf!!! BBQ!
Normal
I guess more normal ones are:
neji/sasu/neji: it's hot, the 2 leaf nin hotties
kiba/akamaru: total crack but funny

My guilty pleasure crack otp HAS to be ItachixNeji. (There's this like, whole inside joke revolving around it with me and my friends. XD)
KakaSasu, it seems like child rape to me. e____e; Well, ANY SenseixStudent pairings seem that way to me.

I like ItachixNeji. I know it doesn't have much basis seeing as they've never met, but with the whole 'I hate my clan' thing they do have stuff in common other than the lovely hair.
1st Category:
Rock Lee/Ino. (Why would he go after Ino when he's still mooning after Sakura? Nonsensical.)
KankuroxShikaxKiba. (It would never happen, and it has no base, and it makes no sense... but it is pretty damn hot.)
ZetsuKiba. (I've only ever seen it once. Still, once was enough to tie my poor mind into knots)
2nd Category:
ZetsuDeidaraSasori. (It seems really odd, but why not? xd )
ItachiDeidaraSasori. (Itachi is a pimp. Big time.)
ShikaNeji. (Not much canon interaction going on, but it could work.)

Gawd... Where do I start?
I lust the teacher/student thing, doesn't really matter who. Double points for stuff with Jiraiya, Orochimaru, Kakashi, Yondaime. Also, all Akatsuki as well.
Plot is like an added bonus. 3nodding
Lurking in my mind at the moment:
Asuma/Sasuke (saw a doushinji once)
Jiraiya/Kakashi
Iruka/Konohamaru(older sweatdrop )
Gai/Naruto
Neji/Kankuro
Zetsu/Tobi
Yamato/Naruto
Shino/Choji (cause he's a butterfly xd )

Oooh, my crack pairing is SO much of the crack. It's OroHaku, and it totall makes sense in that 'Kishimoto reused Haku's personality for Kimimaro, and so Haku and Kimi are much the same, and Orochimaru loves teh boys with teh bloodline limits :O' xD I totally adore it.
ItaSasu is my OTP, buuuuut... I hardly count it as being crack just 'cause it makes logical sense in my warped excuse for a brain mad

Reminds me of how on that one little fight special the Naruto fillers had, at the end Jiraiya went to Otogakure for no explained reason XD It made me so happy.
