Ok so meeting mr supervisor dude went really well and they're all lovely and I'm applying there but on the application thingy it wants a 250 word research proposal =( supervisor man says it's pretty much just a formality to make sure im actually interested and not avoiding real life and jobs
Does anyone have any particular tips on stuff to throw in there? confused Why I want to do QI is because I did a course on it which was fascinating, particularly the quantum crypto stuff. I've read up on normal crypto a bit and I'd love to do this. and... i guess i also want to see how QI can have useful applications and so on. thats the general idea. i had to do something similiar for my msc app, but it was much shorter... I think I even used the phrase "make my own contributions to the field" gonk
but yeah, now to try and get it coherent and into 250 words... confused sweatdrop
p.s. deadline is coming up for the app and I want to have it in like uh tomorrow >.<

I'd just ramble on in pretty much the way that you've already done wink If it really is a formality, which it almost certainly is, just make it general and way too ambitious. Talk about the stuff you can imagine being interested in for an extended time period. You'll probably write an almost completly different proposal in a year from now, so don't sweat it too much.
