...left in the house?

Seriously it's like a dead civilization in here. Where did all these BESM players run off to?

If anyone reads this and is interested in forming a game and discussion for BESM 3rd Edition PM me.

It's so dark....

How is 3rd Edition different from the second edition book?

Well for starters the point values have been changed. Stats now cost 10 points per Level. Games run from 100 points to 1000+. The dice rolling system has been change to Roll-Over instead of Roll-Under. This has opened up increasing difficulties for open ended higher level games, scales better. Some Attributes have been renamed, replaced, or are simply gone. Item of Power and Own a Big Mecha have been replaced with new unified generic item rules.

Light Armour and Heavy Armour have been merged into Armour which has a set progression. Weapon Attack is now Weapon and works differently. Modifications to Attributes now cost CP instead of ranks in that Attribute. Magic(Psionics) is gone, this is currently undergoing some fan work, and kind-of replaced with Power Flux which gives you a pool of flexible CP you can buy Attributes with from minute to minute. Power Flux has also replaced Mechanical Genius.

There is a new chapter for pre-made template examples, including Sizes. There is a default setting printed in the book, the Anime Multiverse, which features Earth and 6 Prime worlds which embody various anime genres. There is a Multiverse skill price list along with 29 others.

The damage system has been slightly tweaked. Weapon does less damage then before and is multiplied by a characters Damage Multiplier.

It feels more open and clean. The layout is spacious, colorful, and bright. There are typos and a few misprints but overall very well done and has almost been worth the wait.

I'm with a group that plays besm ftf, so around June 20th I'd be willing to chat more about it, and maybe play a scenario or two.

Give you just made a 2-year necro, I highly doubt anyone's going to be around to take you up on that.
