Avid cosplayer looking for an event? Wanna take some cool pictures of people in costume? These are the events you want to go to!
Jacon refers to all the events involving cosplay as part of the CAT or Costume Arts Track. This year's theme is 'Back to Basics'.

JACON 2007 Costume Competition
Time: Saturday - Doors open at 6 PM
Location: Great Lakes Ballroom (Main Events)
Our main costume event at JACON. This is the event where costumes are judged on many craftsmanship skills and elements, and compete for awards. Bring and enter your own costume, or just come and watch the spectacle! Last year, we gave away over $900 in prizes, including a digital camera, a photo printer with accessories, and a $50 Jo- Ann Fabrics gift card. This year, we have something even better planned- we'll be giving away over $1,500 in prizes! Our entrants pour a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into these creations, so come and show your appreciation!
My notes: This event is a must! but if you want a good seat get there at lest and hour and a half early and remember doors open at 6pm!

Exhibition and Awards Ceremony
Time: Saturday during the Costume Competition

Back for its third year, the Photo Shoot Contest is still going strong! This year, we’re going to show off our entries in Main Events during our Costume Contest so even more of our attendees can enjoy these mini-masterpieces. So brush off your lenses and suit up- let’s see those pearly whites!
My Notes: This is AWSOME! This is a great event where you take some awsome pictures before the convention then send them in then they'll be shown at the costume contest! That is such a good idea!

JACON Spring Fling Tennis Tourney and Picnic
A Tennis Cosplay Event
Time: Sunday, 12:00 PM- 3:00 PM
Location: International Plaza Tennis Courts
…And now for something completely different! New this year at JACON is a chance to show off your tennis skills while chilling with your friends, and maybe make some new ones! A light-hearted, relaxing Sunday wind-down event, the JACON Spring Fling Tennis Tourney and Picnic is just what it sounds like- a mini tennis tournament with a side of picnic! Play as an anime tennis character, or just come and cheer them on!
My Notes: This is a first! The down side to this though is that you have to sign up ahead of time and only one charater allowed so only Ryoma will be playing only one Tezuka and thus forth. Your charater must play tennis in their anime or manga or game. So no Nartuto tennis! ^.^

Bishounen Bash and Yaoi PJ Party
Time: Friday, 10 PM- 3 AM
Location: Okeechobee Ballroom
Like pretty boys in your anime and manga? Then this is the event for you! A celebration of the guys of anime, this party is a great place to hang out, chat with friends, and watch some great shows full of bishounen goodness. And don’t forget the guys from the Tanoshii Host Club, on hand for more fan service…
As always, expect the full slumber party experience- movies, food, prizes, and wacky games! We’ll bring back the best of all the previous years, and throw some new and exciting things.
My notes: After midnight this becomes a +18 event!
There is also mention of a masqurade but no dicription thus yet.

The Royal Flush Club
by the Tanoshii Host Club!
Time: Saturday 10 PM
Location: Tampa Bay Patio
Last year, the gentlemen of the Tanoshii Host Club flirted and danced their way into quite a few hearts. Well, this year all our attendees are in for a double treat…or should we say a “pair” of treats? That’s right, our lovely Host Club boys will be blowing on dice and wishing good luck as you game in our fully operational casino! Blackjack, Texas Hold’Em, Craps, slots…it’s all here! So dress to the nines, or just come straight from the Masquerade, for this highly stylish and wildly fun experience!
My notes: This is a +21 event!

So anyone gonna cosplay? So far I'll be going to the PoT event as Ryuzaki Sumire, thats Seigaku's coach. My costume contest entry keeps chaging and it keeps being a secret. ^.^ There are also plans for a Nerima Daikon Brothers group and I'll be going as Hedeki from that. I'm also working on the costumes of my shoot me photo contest entry. I'm making Queen Serenity and King Endimion. For Toddlers. Thats right pint sized Sailor Moon. It'll be awsome if we can just keep the babies from trashing their costumes, though no real worries because these babies are expericanced cosplayers. One of them won the contest last year ^.^  Thats the pic that won. My nephew Ro-Chan at 5 months old. He's two now and has since cosplayed as Tamama from Keroro Gunso, Yuki Eiri from Gravitation, and Yagami Light from Death Note.
