A/N: Yeah, I love Yu yu hakusho. Its just a fluffy little thing that mostly just hints at yaoi anyway. razz heart ^_^ I wrote this fanfiction with that in mind, because kurama and hiei seem totally meant for each other. X3 No flames please! Constructive critisism is welcome, of course. Let me know your thoughts!

-----------------------

Hiei had gotten used to waking up in Kurama's bed. Even if he couldn't puzzle out exactly how he'd ended up there when he first woke up, he usually managed to figure the reason by the time Kurama awoke an hour later. Usually it was because when he prepared to leave, Kurama would offer him to stay. He'd snort and reply with his patented "Hn," and decide to stay. It was more comfortable than sleeping in the trees anyway. One thing led to another and they both ended up exhausted and in need of sleep.

When they first met he would have never dared to sleep on Kurama's bed, unless they were sharing a hotel room and it was absolutely necessary. (Even then, he'd usually go sleep against the wall or out in a tree.)

When the fights were over, he would stop by to visit Kurama's house on days he wasn't training, or even to ask him to train with him. They would eventually come back, and occasionally watch a movie together on the couch (it had to be violent to keep Hiei's interest, and Kurama made sure it was) and they would head back upstairs before the red-heads mother arrived home.

And every night before he left, Kurama would politely offer him to stay the night. The first time it happened, he reasoned that there was only one bed. Kurama had replied that he didn't mind. This puzzled the koorime, and he had shook his head, flitting out of the room. The next time, he asked again.

He had agreed a couple of times, though he slept against the wall no matter how nicely the redhead offered to share the bed with him. He remembered seeing a…disappointed look in his eyes. It was absurd really.

Finally, after a year or so of the red-head's offering he had walked over, kicking off his boots and removing his cloak before getting onto the bed, not bothering to draw back the covers. "You ask me every time, so I might as well try it once." Hiei had said. He clearly remembered the lovely smile Kurama had offered him in return.

He slept wonderfully that night. The next time the red-head had asked, he had nodded, this time getting underneath the sheets and turning his back to the red-head. Though he could clearly feel the red-head smiling at his back.

And so it went. Kurama would always politely offer to share the bed as he had before, and Hiei had accepted silently. Then, one night, it had been cold. The fire demon had laid awake for a while, just thinking to himself, then he went stiff as he felt Kurama press up against him, seeking warmth against the wintry chilled air. He hissed softly and nudged the redhead lightly to get away; but Kurama had slept soundly. A sigh of frustration and he simply lay there awake, puzzling as to why the red-head would seek warmth from him of all people…but shook it off.

The next time, just as he was drifting off, he felt it again, though it was obvious Kurama was still awake. He cracked open one red eye, giving him a curious look.

"What are you doing…?" Hiei had asked, raising a brow. The red-head had offered him a smile.

“Do you mind?”

Such a puzzling reply. Did he mind…? Kurama hadn’t answered his question with that. Purposefully.

A deep sigh escaped him. “No.” he muttered. With that answer kurama had leaned forwards, pressing their lips together. A first kiss.

And the relationship had continued on from there, to the point where they were sleeping together every night, and by that he meant doing almost anything else but sleeping for a large portion of the night.

He relished the mornings where he was awake, but his limbs were still sleeping, leaving him to nestle himself deeply in the covers.

This morning he chose to grasp Kurama’s pillow in his arms, breathing in deeply with his face against the pillow. It smelled of roses….and a spicy scent mixed in that was purely kurama.

….He liked that smell.

It became suddenly apparent to him that he really liked that smell. And he had to leave for a couple weeks to go see mukuro soon…

So, our little fire demon came to a decision.

He needed to steal Kurama’s pillow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kurama awoke the next morning with a yawn, running a hand through his hair and glancing around. Hiei was gone, though he knew he would be, because Hiei had told him he was leaving. Moving the lay back down he blinked, frowning.
“Where’s my pillow…?”
LOL, drago, it was a joke and anyways, I don't like YAOI even the slightest bit, but that doesn't mean I'm going to try and persuade others to my opinion, after all, to each his own.
