This is something I started last night. It's just coming to me, it has no real... thought to it or anything. I just write as it comes to me.

Anyways, I like it so far and I hope you will too.

Suggestions are always helpful, though!

Welcome to my thoughts, my hopes, my dreams, and my nightmares. Everything I hold dear in my heart, everything I think about. I bare my soul to you, for this is the only way I can tell you what is going on. What I have been feeling…

You’ve come to see what happens to me. Through my eyes I will guide you, through my lips, I will tell you. The journey will not be a pretty one, I will tell you that. This is a tale of pain and betrayal, something you cannot fathom.

This is my story, my world. What happens in here, stays in here. What happens to me, happens to me. What happens to you… that is up to you…

The boy sat up right in his bed, his dark blonde hair plastered to his face with sweat. That was the third time he had had that dream in the past week. He laid back down on his bed and placed the back of his hand on his fore head. He could feel his heart slowing down a bit as he relaxed more. He really needed to stop having that dream; it just wasn’t healthy for him. Worst of all, he could only hear in the dream, not once had he been able to see anything.

‘I’ve just been watching too much television,’ he concluded in his mind after a few moments. That was the only real explanation. He had opted for watching television late at night as of late seeing as how is parents didn’t get home until early in the morning. He needed something to do until he absolutely had to go to sleep, after all.

He closed his eyes and took his hand away from his head. He really needed to get some sleep, though. He had never liked broken sleep, heck, he loved to sleep. He just didn’t like falling asleep. He yawned and snuggled deeper into the covers, trying to get back into the warm spot he had had early. That, however, was prooving to be futile. Why was it that every time he found his warm spot, he would wake up and lose it? It just wasn’t fair.

He looked at his alarm clock, the red numbers blinding him momentarily. It said that it was 3:44 in the morning. He had to get up in a few hours for school, fun. He turned away from the clock and closed his eyes. He really needed to sleep the night through… He yawned as he slowly drifted off to sleep. He needed…

A shrill noise awoke him from his slumber. He turned on his side to and found the noise coming from his alarm clock. Oh kill joy, it was time to get up. He turned off the noise and got out of bed, streching his back and arms as he did so. He stumbled though his room until he found the light switch and he flipped it up. At once, the room was filled with light and he had to blink a few times to get used to it. He went over to his dresser and pulled out a pair of faded pants and a plain red tee shirt. He took off his pajamas and tossed them in a dirty clothes hamper in the corner of his room. He slowly pulled on the cold clothes as he tried to remain awake. He hated putting on clothes in the morning. They were always cold and course, unlike his warm, cozy pjs.

After that was done, he walked downstairs to start on some breakfast. He went into the kitchen and rumaged around in the refirgerator for something to fill his empty stomach. He found some left over steak and opted for that. He placed it in the microwave and turned it on for 2 minutes. While he waited for it to warm, he decided to go into the living area and get his shoes from the closet.

He was in the middle of putting on his second tennis shoe when he heard the microwave beep; indicating that it was done. He tied the shoe and headed back into the kitchen. He grabbed a fork and knife from the dishwasher and got his steak from the microwave. He sat down at the island in the kitchen and began to eat his steak.

When he was finished, he took his plate and set it in the sink. He looked over at the clock and saw that it was 6:15. He had to leave in 15 minuets to catch the bus. He went back to his room and grabbed his backpack and a few other items that he would need for school. He put on his wristwatch and once again looked for the time. This time, it said it was 6:20.

“I’d better leave now, just to be on the safe side,” he mussed to himself as he walked out of his room and toward the front door. He stifled a yawn that passed his lips as he opened the door. It was too early to have to get up and go to school, but he couldn’t afford to miss any school. Colleges these days wouldn’t accept him if he did so.

He walked out of the house and closed the door behind him. There was no real reason to lock the door, seeing as how his parents were home and no one in their right mind would want to come into his house. He walked slowly to the bus stop on the corner of his street, his feet dragging a bit. He blinked a few times trying to get his eyes to function properly. He was still seeing things a bit fuzzy, but that was to be expected seeing as how he had just awoken the hour before. You see, he was not, by any means, a morning person. If it were up to him, there would be a night school where kids could go to school at night instead of during the day.

This, of course, was futile. It would never happen, no way, a how. At least, not in his school lifetime. He saw the familiar stop sign and walked up to it. He leaned up against it and waited for the normal people to come. Two other people other than him got on at this stop. One was a senior by the name of Kori Jackson and the other was a sophomore named Mirage Hudson. Both of them were nice, but he had never really gotten to know them. He never really got to know anyone, actually.

His parents were always being moved because of their jobs. He never settled into one place for very long. One time, he was at a place for about one week before they moved again. He was used to this though. He knew that getting attached to people would just hurt him since he would just be leaving them soon any ways.

He saw Kori running toward him, a piece of toast in his mouth while he fumbled with the buttons of his shirt. Kori was prone to running a bit late for the bus and it was comical to watch him scramble to try and get to the stop in time. He heard a small laugh coming from behind him and he turned a bit. He saw Mirage with her hand over her mouth, trying hard not to laugh.

“Even though it happens almost every day, it never gets old,” she said in a small voice. “Don’t you agree, Sirius?”

Sirius shrugged his shoulders and smiled a little. “Sooner or later he will learn that he needs to get up on time.” Mirage shook her head a little, light brown hair swaying a bit.

“I’ve known him all my life, it isn’t going to happen any time soon.”

“I heard that,” Kori said as he stopped in front of them. He was panting and his toast was now in his right hand. “I could get up if I wanted to, I just like the rush of being late and still making it on time.”

“Right,” Mirage said as she placed her hands on her hips. “That is what you say, but you know that it’s because you sleep through your alarm clock.” Sirius continued to listen to their petty argument in amusement. This is what usually woke him up in the mornings. He liked to see which one would win before the bus came.

Bright lights brought him out of his thoughts and he turned to see the bus pulling up to their stop. The flashing lights momentarily blinding him. He found the lights annoying and wanted nothing more than to get them to turn off. This, of course was wishful thinking. It would never happen, no matter how hard he wished. The bus pulled up to their stop and opened it’s door. Kori was the first to board, followed by Mirage then him. He sat in the middle of the bus where no one would bother him. That was how he liked it. He rested his head against the cool glass and closed his eyes. Might as well sleep for a little while longer…
