Keir's eyes swirled around the toddler, the embodied sight and the underlying metaphor of freedom and carefree times drove her wild with jealousy. It seemed that anything was capable of making her jealous. Was it the partnership between Kumoru and Bhel that made her even lust for the care and protection of a guardian again? Or even for the love, adoration and appreciation from another Fa'e. Figuring it was just some lovesick dream, she snapped herself out from delving into it any further. She didn't need Yanisin to remind her any further of what she'd lost, or regained.
Channeling a more positive frame of mind, she rolled out her hair away from her eyes, and scanned the area around, uninteresting herself with the carefree delights of a simple spell. Sticking out, she made clear note of a follower, if not a stalker. Bearing a familiar smirk, she passed the two idly, and progressed towards the sidewalk, just opposite.
"Keene?" Eh? The black cat appeared, swishing around at her ankles. Trust you to be moping around, feeling sorry for yourself. Prying on some innocent toddler. He sat proudly, head raised high; I've been watching you, I - always - watch ******** off." She spat, turning her back away from him and pacing up the steps. Ignoring him completely as their reunion had been short-lived.
"Magic eh?" She watched the necromancer carefully. It's been a long time since you've even practiced, don't get cocky. Keene added cheekily. "Keene, I can do, whatever I ******** want. Who's to say you've got any jurisdiction on my life?" Keir fascinated herself with the little palm of sparkles.
The littlest spell reigniting a deep inlying passion.

As Keir moved, Bhel actually tore his attention away from his guardian's cantrip to watch her. He was half-tempted to charge her again, but for now, just staring at her seemed like a better option. Of course, he could not really sympathize with how she felt, since he was so young and inexperienced with things like love. The young Fa'e did know that attention was a good thing, though, and it seemed to have diverted from him for the moment.
But there was also a new creature here now. Frowning a little, Bhel toddled over towards the black cat, holding out his hand to pet him.
The mage allowed the sparkles to fade as Bhel turned away. He looked down at the cat as well, even as he replied to Keir: "Yes, I study it. Or, perhaps more accurately, it is my life. Studied it since I was very young."

Keene took interest in the little horned Fa'e, gently plodding around him and observing carefully; concerned about the possible whiplash the tail had to offer. Watch it, kid! He yelped, slightly backing off the big bold hands which seemed to crash down upon him. Appreciating the attention however, he soon curled in the stroke. Allowing Bhel more access and the elusive scratch of his tummy, rolling over with a dumbfounded expression.
"Me too." Keir replied coyly. "It's what I used to live for. Magic ran through my veins." Nostalgia crept in, sights of a young prosperous witch with high intentions, a big cauldren, and broom brought back a flurry of inspiration. "However, the intention of love saw that off. Blinded me, if you will--" she stopped suddenly, trying her best not to slip too far in. "I made promises, or at least, said things I wish I hadn't now. And I don't know how to..."
Admitting anything she couldn't do was an important feat for her, in which she continued, with lowered whisper; "...untap everything again. It all seems so unfamiliar now."
"But I was a ******** good witch!" She shrieked loudly, forcing Keene to a jumped alert.

Bhel smiled a little as he rubbed his hands over the cat's soft fur, though he probably rubbed it the wrong way more often than not. It was nice and fluffy, though, and that was enough for him.
Tucking his hands into the opposite sleeves of his robes, Kumoru crossed his arms and shrugged a little. "Love and magic very rarely seem to work out together," he told her. "Magic requires love of its own, and it's the sort of love that cannot be shared with another person."
The necromancer understood enough of what she was saying. He looked up at her, though his bright blue eyes seemed to be watching some distant replay of his own single mistake of a relationship in the past. "I hope you will be able to find your way back to your magic soon. I'm sure it will come back to you with practice."
As Keir yelled and the cat jumped, Bhel jumped upright as well, tail flicking irritably at the air around him. She scared the kitty! How mean!

The Fa'e smiled appreciatively, a rare sight to anyone, but greater acknowledged by those who she knew closest. "Practice that could be better spent at home, I better get goin'..." Her eyes diverted to a shaken Keene, and his little scared body. Regretfully laughing, she fell a few steps, pacing down with widened footing. Scooping Keene up quickly, she shoved him up on her shoulder, and turned back to the pair, more grateful of their encounter.
"I agree with you though. My ambitions should never have been foreshadowed by some stupid b*****d'n albino." Keene gave a final purr, his paw motioning toward Bhel happily. See you!
"Lust perhaps, but no, love and magic. Never again." Keir strode away, a little more confident with her capabilities. However unexpected, she had a funny feeling she'd be requiring guidance from Kumoru again.

Kumoru nodded, keeping his expression calm and blank so he would not betray that he felt at least a bit better about this Keir than when she had first opened her potty-mouth.
"Never love and magic," he agreed, taking a moment to bow slightly to the cat as she left.
Now she was taking the kitty away? Bhel would not stand for this. Lowering his head again, he made ready to charge after her.
"Bhel, don't. Let her go," the mage told the boy sternly, placing a hand on his shoulder.
