And usually Demyx would have been no match to Lex's endurance, but water was one area he excelled in. Keeping up with the other Audio just fine, the young sitarist easily paddled along.

As they continued swimming, Lexaeus kept his mind occupied trying to understand exactly why Demyx was able to keep up with him so easily. It could have been their difference in muscle mass, and the little one required less energy to maintain his lighter body in the water, which would indicate that Lexaeus was naturally at a disadvantage despite his strength. The other option was that Demyx was using his elemental abilities to keep him going without tiring as quickly. He would have to ask when his feet were back on the ground.

Whatever it was that kept him going, the second in command was still swimming strong.

"How's it going Lex?"

Grinning happily, the little one blinked over at Lexaeus. This was -his- element, the one area that few could best him in, and it felt good to finally have someone else in the Organization enjoying it with him.

Lexaeus blinked at the unusual question and almost lost his rhythm. He couldn't recall ever being asked something like that in such a friendly manner. Usually no one made inquiries as to how he was doing unless they were really asking about the progress of an assignment he was given. In matters like this, most assumed he was too sturdy and solid to suffer from such trivial things such as exhaustion. For the most part they were right, but still.

"... Good." The giant replied, once he had figured out how to best answer the smaller Nobody.

"Good!"

Demyx dove underwater, resurfacing a moment later on the other side of the swimming giant.

"See? You learned really fast, it's not that hard!"

Lexaeus just blinked as Demyx vanished, and was inwardly startled to hear the voice coming from his other side. It was like... teleporting, but not. He had been concentrating too much on keeping himself afloat to notice the way the current swirled under him as the musician swam by.

Learning to swim really hadn't been that hard, but learning to dive under the water would be another matter completely.
