So there he was. Cully was bored and damn, he had standing there since the dawn of time. Well, it seemed that way, anyway. The redhead was leaning on the front counter of 'Ye Olde Wande Shoppe' as he liked to call it, elbows on and a comic book between his arms. While he would rather it be a science text, this was the only thing he could think of to read.
When someone walked into the shop, his head shot up, slightly flustered, and a grin crept over the round features. "Welcome to the Wand Shop!"
Did he ask them to touch the book now? Later? Whatever. It would happen when it happened. It would come with time.

What in the world had possessed her to leave her ship? Standing in front of a town directory, stretching her arms over her head, Commander Nessalyn Sharthavis did something she rarely did in public. She took her uniform jacket off.
After all, it was a warm day, and she kept getting odd looks. Of course, she didn't think many commanders from the Ystevarian fleet came to browse around their town. At least, not in this part of the town. It was more than a little quaint, and the worldly woman couldn't help but smirk a bit.
What the hell was she doing here?
Almost aimlessly, she had wandered to a door, and barely bothered to look up before stepping inside and hearing the cheery greeting. 'Wand Shop? Huh?' Why was she in here again?
Well. Couldn't hurt to get directions back to the spaceport.
"Pardon me...what did you say this place was again?"

Female. Cully liked females. His ears perked when he heard her voice, grinning even wider at the inquisition.
"This, lady, is a wand shop." His voice was curteous to the point where even the term 'lady' sounded to be a title, rather then a slur. "We sell wands. Rather, we give them away from time to time as well."
He kept his eyes away from her. Noo gawking at the female. Instead, he just smiled still. "Would you like a wand? We do it this way. You touch the book. You might get a wand. Sounds good?"

...wands? Well, it was common knowledge that people on this planet, in this area were superstitious to a fault, and had all sorts of insane ideas about magic. Nessalyn definately remembered the briefing she had received on it. It had distinctly warned not to get too taken in by their oddities.
But the shop was cool, it was out of the sun, and the owner seemed a friendly sort. It could not hurt to touch the book. Doubtful she was going to get a wand anyway.
"How will this work again? And what do these wands supposedly do? I can't take something dangerous back to my ship, you know." Friendly banter with the crazy person. Again, it wouldn't hurt to make him like her. Friendly friendly friendly.

Yep! Wands! They amused him quite enough and they let pretty girls like her wander inside. He was so very appreciative and honestly didn't mind working two jobs because of it.
"It works like you touch the book and if nothing happen, we can continue on in the banter. I might even hit on you," Cully winked; good thing he didn't come across as lecherous, "And if something happens, you get a souviner. I don't think it's dangerous. Please? I get in trouble if I don't have everyong touch the book. Don't make me get fired."
