-+- Quest Details -+-
The difficulty of your quest depends on the strength of the spell or skill you’re trying to get. To make an example, I’ll use the basic
Fire/Fira/Firaga spells (three fire-element spells, each more powerful than the last),
Comet (a non-elemental spell that causes more ‘flat’ damage than Firaga), and
Flare (a very powerful non-elemental spell). Each of these spells fall into one of five tiers:
Weak (Fire),
Average (Fira),
Above Average (Firaga),
Strong (Comet),
Very Strong (Flare).
Here’s how the quests will work.
Weak - For a weak spell, you will ICly be given a simple task. You may have to go make a delivery, find a certain flower, solve a riddle, etc. These tasks are meant to be challenging yet passable. OOCly, I will give you a prompt (usually General Ashet telling you what to do) and you will need write out a single pose detailing that actions your character took while accomplishing these tasks. The post should be at least three paragraphs in length, but longer poses are encouraged.
Average - This will function in much the same way as weak quests, but they will be more difficult -- go kill a monster, find a relic, steal an expensive trinket. Again, these tasks are meant to be challenging, yet passable -- with effort. You will still only be required to write a single pose detailing the quest, this one at least five paragraphs long. Longer posts are still encouraged.
Above Average - These quests will function more like actual roleplays, with you and me (KaelinJennis/General Ashet) playing out the details of the quest. The tasks will be harder, and will be given with the intent of putting your character in harm’s way.
Strong - These quests will also function like actual roleplays, and they will also be given with the intent of seeing your character struggle. They will be difficult, arduous, and dangerous. Help may be sought ICly, either from an NPC or another player, and you may have up to one other person ICly accompany you.
Very Strong - These quests will also be scened out, and may involve one or more players aside from you and myself. These quests also allow for help to be sought out ICly, and up to three other people may accompany you. These tasks will be given with the intent of having your character suffer and fail, and are the most difficult of them all.
