Matters of Life and Death

Two parallel plotlines. Inuyasha and friends deal with a demon at a hot spring and healing center. Back in the modern day, Kagome returns to school... and some unholesome occult goings on.

Mines pretty long...but here you go....Its still in progress tho...and its not exactly about Inu....its about his ((and Kagome's)) eldest child!! W00tness!


Prologue to The Life and Times of Serenity Kay Higarashi.



Disclaimer: sadly, I do not own InuYasha or any of the other InuYasha characters T.T, but I do own Kohaku Aaron (Sango and Miroku’s son). ((Just in case you were wondering! ^-^))



Hello! My name is Serenity Kay Higarashi, and I am the eldest child from a family of four. My family includes my mother: Kagome Higarashi. Kagome was once human, but after she and my father, InuYasha, and their friends Miroku, Sango, Shippo and Kirara gathered all the shikon jewel shards, they gave it to my mother and she swallowed it and became half-demon.

My mother is very well loved around our community, because she is very beautiful and very powerful. Also, my family consists of all my younger siblings…..great………..anyways, the second oldest child is my 10 year old brother, InuYasha Jr., we call him Junior so we don’t get him and dad mixed up. The two youngest children are Sakura Lea and Sota Akito, who are 6 years old and are twins. ((And unfortunately, sometimes I get stuck baby sitting them!!! UGH!))

It is now 14 years after my mom and dad, Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and Kirara defeated Naraku and purified the Shikon Jewel. I was born a year later….so I guess that makes me 13………

Since we still live in Feudal Japan, Miroku has a strong barrier around our village that only the people in our village can enter in and out of, so it makes it a lot safer than it used to be.

Anyways, it just sounded like mom used the sit command again, and it’s really funny when he falls on his face and then tries to get up. It looks pretty idiotic. Well, I’m going to go see what happened and what stupid thing dad said to set mom off like that…………………

Chapter 1: The dreaded sit command and the “planned” abduction.



Disclaimer: sadly, I don’t own any of the original InuYasha characters……………..T.T *sob*



Note: This is chapter 1….the other “chapter one” was the prologue!





Serenity walked into the kitchen just in time to hear her father fall to the ground with a thud.



“Poor dad, always the victim of the dreaded sit command.” Serenity just laughed as her father fell to the floor for the second time when she emphasized the word ‘sit’.



“THAT’S NOT FAIR! I THOUGHT ONLY YOUR MOTHER HAD THAT POWER!”



“Remember dad, I DO have a small portion of mom’s power,” Serenity said matter of factly, “I was just fortunate enough to inherit this one too.”



InuYasha growled, half-yelling and half-whining. “THAT’S NOT FAIR!”



“Life’s not fair hon,” Kagome retorted. “You just have to deal with it. It’s your own fault it has to be this way.” Kagome said teasing him.



InuYasha mumbled something angrily and brushed off his clothes, stood up and walked away. “I’m going to MY ROOM where I can get away from you and your goddamn sit commands!”



Kagome drew in a breath angrily and stomped after her husband.



Serenity sighed, “5…….4…….3…..2……1….” CRASH!



“WAGH! NOT AGAIN!” InuYasha yelled. Kagome then came out of the room, wiping the dust off her hands onto her apron.



“Your father can be so stupid sometimes………….” She sighed.

“Yea…uhm mom? Is it okay if I go outside for awhile? I’ll try to be back before dark.”



“Sure, but if your going outside the barrier, don’t go alone.” Kagome ordered her daughter with caution.



Serenity sighed, “yes mother……………” then went over and kissed her mom on the cheek. “BYE!” Serenity yelled as she ran out the door.



About 5 minutes later, Serenity walked up to Miroku and Sango’s door and knocked on the door several times. Rat-tat-tat rat-tat-tat She was about to knock again when Miroku came out and Serenity ally knocked on his forehead. Miroku just stared at Serenity for a few seconds and burst out laughing. At that time, Serenity whipped her head around to see who was laughing at her, and saw Miroku standing there and rubbing his head and laughing. When Serenity realized what had happened, she started apologizing over and over again until Miroku stopped her saying, ‘It’s okay, at least it wasn’t Sango hitting me with the big boomerang thingy……by-the-way…..would you ever consider baring me anymore children?”



Then Serenity saw Sango standing behind Miroku, fuming and had her Hiraikotsu behind her back tapping it against the floor. When Miroku turned to see her, the color drained from his face and he let go of Serenity’s hand. “Never mind Serenity! Kohaku will be out in a minute! KOOHHHAAAKKUUUU!!!” then Miroku ran in the house as fast as his legs could carry him to find a hiding spot where Sango couldn’t find him. Unfortunate for him, she found him, and when he came back out he had a bump on his head the size of a blue bird’s egg.



Kohaku was already at the door, staring at Serenity looking at his father with a shocked yet disgusted expression on her face. “Serenity? Are you okay?”



“hmm?? OH HI KOHAKU! Sorry……….kinda….uhmm……distracted…..”



“I noticed.” Kohaku retorted back. “Anyways, what’s up?”



“Oh, I was wondering if you wanted to go down by the stream in the forest, and talk a bit.” Serenity replied.



“Sure Sere! Just let me let my parents know……….” He looked over at his mom, “uhm, mom? Serenity and I are going down to the stream; I’ll be back at dark.”



“Okay Hun! See yah later!” Sango replied and then dragged Miroku back into the house.



Kohaku then looked at Serenity suspiciously, “you don’t like me LIKE me do ya?”



Serenity just slapped him on the back of his head and said, “NO YOU IDIOT! We’re just friends, god, now you’re starting to sound like your dad.”

Kohaku just laughed. “I guess it runs in the family, hmmm?” Kohaku said as he was rubbing her back. “KNOCK IT OFF YOU STUPID LETCHER!” Serenity yelled while slapping the back of his head again. Kohaku just laughed again.



Then Serenity and Kohaku exchanged glances and Serenity took off running, “BEAT YOU THERE!!” Serenity yelled. “HEY! THAT’S NOT FAIR SERENITY! YOU GOT A HEAD START!” Kohaku yelled after her while running as fast as his legs could carry him.



“OH COME ON SLOW POKE! YOU’RE BEING BEATEN BY A !”

Serenity taunted him.



“NOT ON MY WATCH!” Kohaku retorted back. “YOU SUCK SERE!!!!”



Far off in the distance, Shaoran, son of the wolf demon, Kouga, and his wife, the wolf-demon, Ayame, stood on a cliff watching Serenity and Kohaku run towards the stream in the forest. “ Run while you can, Serenity Kay Higarashi, you won’t be able to get away for long……..”

This is my fanfiction hope you like it, its about: About princess Kagome whose job is to protect the shikon no tama that was given to her at birth and she later meets a hanyou named Inuyasha. Will sparks fly or will Kagome have to marry lord Hojo that her father set up for her and what about the shikon no tama will she be able to protect it.

Go ahead and read it leave me reviws and tell me if you like it or not please, and there might be spelling mistakes because this is my first fanfic

Mine is called Inuyasha: Year of the Demon. Inuyasha is to marry Kagome but is held up puting every demon into a barrier and Kagome believes he stood her up. She leaves Feudal Japan for four years Modern time and Inuyasha in his sorrow that Kagome left him destroys the well so she may never return. Kagome goes to college in america and meets a very old Inuyasha who tells her of the development of a condo over the Demon seal. When the seal is broken every demon is released into modern day japan led by The King of Demons. Inuyasha must reunite the decendents of Miroku and Sango as well as fight along side the Half-Demon Wolf decendent of Koga while trying to win back Kagome from her new modern day boyfriend, Tom, who may be connected to this disaster in more ways than one. I'll post it in a few days!

The series just stopped with the episode where Inu-crew was in the demon's belly!So what happened after that?Well my fan fiction is:
Kagome:"Inu..."
Inuyasha:"What?!?!Speak to me Kagome!You can't die on me!
Kagome:"I-I can't feel my soul..."
Miroku,Sango&Shippo:*Watches and eyes water*
Inuyasha:*Grabs Kagome and holds her close to his chest*(Talks in scratchy sad,slow voice)We should take you to your time and let your mom see you one last time.
Kagome:*Faints*
Inuyasha sad Says in angry pissed off voice)Nariku(sorry about spelling)you b*****d!I'm gonna kill you!WIND SCAR!"He kills Nariku in one strike!*Picks up Kagome and walks off with her*

Me:*Sitting in treesketches the 1/2 demon that tried to attack me*"I can't seem to forget his face"
Inuyasha:*Walks by tree with Sango&Miroku*"Where's Shippo?He hasn't said anything stupid for a while"
Shippo:"Your already upset,why bother you now?"
Inuyasha:"I'm not upset,I forgot about...Kagome"*Falls onto knees and puts hands in his face and lies there for a while*
Me:*Jumps off of tree*"Oh,wow the ground is really soft!"
Inuyasha:"GET OFF MY HEAD!"
Me:"Whoops...sorry"I'm Kago"
Inuyasha:"Kago?"
Me:"Yeah,I'm Kikyou's second reincarnation!""Wen't you in love with Kikyou and the first reincarnation?"
Inuyasha:"Yeah,but I rather not talk about them,Kagome is...she's..."
Me:"You look really down so...*Hands over all the shards but one"
Inuyasha:"Keep them,I only hae one anmd that's all I'll ever have"
Me:"Are you sure?"Walks up to Sango and wispers in her ear:"Take thses shards get the 1 Inuyasha has and complete the jewel"
