So the cover of Archie Sonic ish #174 shows a picture of Sonic and Sally getting married, with the cover title saying "Wedding Bells?" (yes, with a question mark at the end). So what do you think will really happen? Will Sonic and Sally finally get married? Or will they just TRY to get married, and something will call the wedding off AGAIN? Or is this another one of Archie's "alternate universe" tie-ins? What do you think will REALLY happen in #174?

Well, I think Sonic and Sally tried to get married in issue #7, and if I'm not mistaken just awhile ago Sonic was with some other girl. I don't like the Sally Sonic relationship anyways, but we all know Archie comics, famous for their idiot with 2 girlfriends, would ever let Sonic seal the deal for real with a girl....... Damnit Archie Comics!!!!! Sonic is not the hedgehog version of Archie...... scream stressed

I don't like the idea it just ruins it. I think the party should be crashed at the last second twisted to build suspense. If they really get married though i'll be pissed. evil

considering how sonic suddenly and mysteriously got together with fiona recently, why the heck would he suddenly marry sally? it's just another one of those 'omg, read this issue!' sort of ploys, the whole relationship thing just causes problems and troubles amoungst the fans.
and isn't 16 a bit young to get married? i thought most countries agreed on 18 being the legal age? ^^;

For the record, Aaron, the only proposals of marriage being thrown around in #7, was Robotnik...to Sally...because of the whole her-dressing-as-a-witch thing. Ah, those old insane plots. : P
But anyway...yeah, I'd have to agree about Sonic and Sally not tying the knot anytime soon. Guessing either it's an alternate thing, or...well, hopefully not another act, like in a much earlier issue...can't pull that card twice.
And yes, there's the current issue of Fiona...I'm more interested to see where that whole thing is heading. It's nice to see that the writers remembered that Tails is still miffed at Sonic for "stealing" his girl (I was seriously all "WTF?!" when he was suddenly cool with Sonic again during the b-day party...). So, I'd assume that they'd get that matter settled before tossing the blue blur to Sally once more.

Yeah, that's one of the issues I missed... I hate it when there's no Sonic-Grams to give me a heads-up on the next issue's cover...
And...well, unless you count Evil Sonic/Scourge, who in his latest appearance hit on just about every single girl in Knothole, nah, the blue blur hasn't tried putting the moves on everyone's favorite buxom bat. : p
Though...Rouge HAS used her charm on Knux...Which led to a rather steamed Julie-Su. I don't think we've seen the last of that little issue...

Copied from some thoughts I posted elsewhere, in a thread which is prepared to think that Sally may've merely caught the bouquet of been holding one as a bridesmaid:
Although it's possible that someone at Archie's been silly enough to take notice of the griping that Knux and Julie not being married in M25YL will somehow cause Mobius to go up in a pillar of hellfire and Lara-su to be ostracised by whatever's left of the populace, I'd like it to be Ant and Bunnie.
Even disregarding the back-up story a few issues ago, they're the longest-running and most stable of the couples on offer, even with that time apart. I remember one of the writers (I think it was Karl) saying back when issue 100 was in the planning that if there was going to be a wedding then, it'd be those two. But Archie still thought that they were too young and it might look irresponsible.
Even if the dysfunctional trainwreck that is Sonic and Sally were together at the moment, I don't see a marriage on the cards. Timescale and age notwithstanding, Sega licensing just wouldn't stand for it.
Although I have a soft spot for the idea of the wedding maybe being Chuck and Rosie, which'd sidestep every controversy.
Here's hoping it's not just a re-run of Wedding Bell Blues, but I credit Ian Flynn with bit more sense than that.

Chuck and Rosie, eh? Can't say that pairing ever came to mind XP ....But, I guess I could see it. And hey, they could both use someone I suppose (makes you wonder why Chuck never seemed to have a love....though I suppose bearing the burden of creating a device that terrorized one's people for over a decade, could cause one to be hesitant in the ol' social life).
And I wouldn't mind seeing Antoine and Bunnie finally tie the knot, seeing as the only reason for the split in the first place was the case of a switcheroo (for the record, I was a tad disappointed that the Antoine we know and love, didn't really get all badass in a year's time. razz ).
But anyway...I don't want to get myself too far into the speculating, considering the so-so condition of the plot. Although, I have noticed a bit of an upswing lately..or at least, that's how I see it.
