Is it true that in Japanese schools you can eat lunch anywhere in the school?

No, not anywhere. Just like in American there are going to be some schools where you can eat inside, outside and occationally in a classroom (if the teacher is willing) while other schools want you to only eat in the cafeteria.
well my school here in japan do not allow us to eat outside only indoors and in the classroom i wish we could though crying

I live in Trinidad and Tobago. We are allowed to eat anywhere. Seeing as we dont have a room specially designed for eating.

It all varies. The school I went to was like that...you could go anywhere. Even the roof, if you wanted to.

At my school we arent allowed to eat in the building only in the cafe and outside. but the problem is their is not enough room for the whole school in the cafe so during the winter we sit in out classrooms with out bags in front of out lunch focusing on the door. O_O
