Hey, guess what? Well, I was hanging out on greenday.net one day and you know what I found? It was a magazine article about what the guys are planning for their next album! They've been working on a lot of songs, and they have not one, but THREE ideas for what the album's gonna be like:
1. Just plain loud, fast, hard punk songs.
2. Something with a story to it, like, more than American Idiot had.
3. Something that they said was the weirdest stuff they ever heard like, as I think Billie put it, "Sandinista on acid, or something." Now, to my understanding, Sandinista is this album by The Clash. But other than that I know absolutely nothing whatsoever.
So...are you excited? I know I am! I MUST SHOUT IT FROM ALL THE HIGHEST ROOFTOPS!!! WHOOOOOOO!!!!
Oh yeah, and they also said that it was probably gonna be released sometime in 2008, but they don't have a deadline or anything, so no guarantees.
But who cares? NOW I have something to look forward to in the next year! YAAAAAY!!!

I know I found that a while ago...
I hope it is a great album because everyone hates them now... stare
They need to re-build their fan base!
But I'll love them no matter what!

That's incredibly exciting! I would love to see Sandinista on acid! The only thing that worries me is that The Clash are very eclectic, and a lot of Sndinista is hip-hop/reggae-ish, and that just isn't Green day's style. This should be interesting....
