Since no one is posting I will post about something I am suffering from badly and have done for a year now.

I have really bad hypercondria and anxiety. But it only usually happens at the same part of the day. Evening/night. It's come to the point where I am not happy anymore because my mind is constantly thinking about myself. The hypercondria is what causes my anxiety and stress. Every little thing be it a headache, feeling sick in the stomach, my weight, the first thing that always without fail comes to my mind is 'I have cancer'. The fact that I know it's crazy to think like that all the time makes me feel a bit better. But it is not helping the problem go away.

I'm constantly at the doctor because I always want to get a check up and I feel better for a few days because the doctor tells me everything is fine. But eventually my hypercondria creeps back like it's saying ' what if she missed something'. I haven't been to a psychologist about it because I can't afford it. Yes, I do have my own psychologist that I have seen in the past for a different mental problem of mine. But I really don't have the money to go back to her because I recently lost my job.

I guess I need to know what I can do to help the problem. I am considering going back on anxiety pills for a little while like I did last time, but I really need something that will last long term.

I'm killing myself with stress....

Any help of any kind is really appreciated.

Have you tried making a blog? Everytime you get really stressed out you can go and write about it. Or when you get really stressed out to you can all so just walk, jog, or run? Or go and strech. Get your mind on something else is. It seems that when you get so in to a certian thing you can't see what else there is. You need to see more than there is. I hope i can help heart

My first bit of advice would have been to talk to your therapist about it, but you've already mentioned that you don't have the money for it, so that wouldn't be an option. Anxiety pills might be a good idea, since it sounds like you've tried them before. Sometimes, you really do need to turn to medication to help out; anxiety can be an extremely frightening thing (I suffered from it during my childhood). And as Take_Me_to_the_Wind mentioned, getting your mind off it can do wonders. I turned to art to distract me from my own anxiety, and I have a friend who deals with hers by going to the gym to work out. When she gets home, she says she finds she's too tired out from working out to worry! You might also try different relaxation techniques like meditation.

Going off what Take Me To The Wind said I use distraction methods when I get anxious about something. I am not a big working out person though so I often clean or cook.

Take this with a grain of salt because I am by no means a therapist. It maybe that you feel like there is something wrong with you, because you feel like you aren’t good enough. Try to do something at least once a day that reminds you of how great a person you are and that you love yourself. This is good for almost anyone just so long as you don’t slide into the narcissistic side of it. But it today’s world of high media showing off how great they are its pretty easy to not be narcissistic.

I agree. ^^ You should try doing something to keep your mind off it, especially working out. I suffer from a different kind of anxiety attack, for which I need to take medicine, so that could also help for you.

Thanks. whee

I occasionally update my blog on MySpace. I used to write in there all the time.

I started playing World of Warcraft again. It's helped keep my mind of myself for the time being.

You could play Pretty Like Drugs full blast on repeat and piss off your neighbors...that should distract you pretty well

Haha. Yes it would. Well, perhaps I could save that for when I have to move back to my parents house and annoy the living hell out of the bogan neighbours. xd

I know that I am a year late but if this is still bothering you, try exersizeing. Things like swimming, bikking, jogging, and hikking are the best for some while others prefer competitive sports. Either way when you exersise a chemical called endorphins are released into your blood stream. This chemical calms you done and can make you feel better about your daily life.

I looked around a little bit and found some sites that might help :

I'd have to agree with the above suggetions.
I was also thinking about maybe arranging to meet up with friends? How about getting out of the house and meeting up for a day out, going to whatch a movie with them. Something fun and that'll get your mind off things ^^

I suffer from fairly bad anxiety too -.- but it helps me when I write it down, or talk to someone about it who will actually LISTEN and UNDERSTAND
(sorry about the capitals, I don't have any TRUE friends who listens, they're very selfish)

I hope this helps a little ><
