I was wondering if it is against the word of Christ to be asexual (meaning you like neither members of the opposite sex nor of your own sex.) I am really starting to think that I am asexual because I really have no attraction to anyone. Help?

Uh considering Christ himself was celabate, I really don't think that not being sexually active is a sin. Actually a lot of people would envy you because you have no true attraction, thus you are least likely to stumble when it comes to the lust department. It is also great since you will be able to focus on God more rather than the ways of the flesh.

First of all, how old are you? I've never met someone be not rather either of the two sexes. I might be able to lend you a hand.

It's not that I'd rather not be either of the two sexes (because what on Earth would I be then? gonk ) It's just that I don't feel physically attracted to guys or girls. My friend could say, "OMG! That guy is so hott!" And I just don't see why. I don't know, it's a weird feeling...or lack thereof.

chances are you just havent found someone that u r interested in. it isnt something u should really worry about since it cant interfere with your life. u dont really even need to be attracted to anyone in your life, as long as u have other types healthy relationships ,(family, friends, spiritual). And i am not saying that u wont ever find someone but that if that is somehow the case that u shouldnt worry about it.

Thanks, you guys. I appriciate all the input on my dilemna. Hopefully this is just a phase because I would like to one day know what it feels like to really love someone but if not, oh well. I still have my friends and family and of course God. mrgreen

you can love, and really love someone without being attracted to someone or them being of the opposite sex, tell me is GOD attracted to humanity...cause if he was that would make him a bi-sexual, but I'm pretty sure he's not, the reason is because he loves humans, love is more than just a thing between a man and a woman, you can love your dog, but not wih that kinda relationship, and you can love your mother hopefully not with that kinda relationship either.

Your pretty lucky. Satan has already lost ground on one of his most important battles with males - lust. I don't know a guy who is heterosexual (likes girls) who doesn't stuggle with lust.

Consider yourself lucky. most people, especially men, struggle with lust. you are free from that. Maybe it's because you value personality, not appearences. or maybe you just haven't met the right person, and you'll start crushing when you do. or maybe you're meant to be a bachelorette (I"m assuming you're a girl, based off the "that guy's so hott" comment) because of some special purpose God has for you. But I wouldn't worry. I like what watreghost said. Keep your other relationships strong, and don't worry about it.
