Lord of the Abyss... ninja Well, if it was me, I'd totally pimp out the first one, and take it with me everywhere. But you probably don't really need it pimped out. Although the keyboard thingy it features would be nice for table top work. So I'd go with that one, simply for that....if you're wanting opinions, that's my final word.... Pretend I'm not an idiot....

Based on portability and looks alone, I would say the first one. I don't really understand the technical aspects of computers so I can't judge them based on that.

.::*Not all that impressed with Gateways...*::. Not all that much of a whiz, though. Just speaking from experience. .::*a.k.a fam's computer*::. Then again, I found found little difference from brand to brand...

In my semi-professional opinion, don't waste your time on brand stereotypes unless you have concrete proof about their features... or unless you're comparing an Apple to a PC... there is NO comparison. biggrin
I suggest getting a 64bit AMD (Turion for laptops) and X2 at that if you can get it... OR one of those fancy new Core 2 Duos... they're Intel's consumer 64-bit I think. IMO, AMD > Intel... but whatever...
Anyway.... max out on the memory and hard drive and buy RETAIL. Direct is so much more... I paid $650 for a computer that was ~$800- 850 direct from Gateway... same model and everything. Look for sales and stuff, and since Vista is out... make sure it fits the specs.
Hope it helps. The people support your decision if it is a good one.

Treyo KookyKittyKat My advice would be to not get a Dell. They have so many problems ><; Yes. Get a Gateway! I've had an IBM,Gateway,Alienware,Dell. Dell is the best,I have a Xps 200 with widescreen... Money is not a concern,I can handle that on my own. But nevermind,I have decided on the 2nd one because the first one is 20 pounds...carrying that around for days.I'd die...
