*Amaranth looked up at her, shocked then quickly rolled out from underneath her.*"Uh, who--who are you?"

*Shinooq paused. She stepped forward slowly.*"I'm Shinooq, and you're Amaranth. We're in the same pack. We're the same age too."*She smiled cutely, trying to show that she wasn't hostile.*

*Amaranth cocked his head at her taking in what she looked like. When suddenly, his little white cheeks turned a little pink and he looked down so that she wouldn't see his face. He thought she was cute. Getting over his little attraction to her quickly, he crouched low on the ground and spanked his paws on the dirt, when suddenly he pounced on her and bit her ear playfully.*"Well then, Shinooq, let's play!"*He said with a silly grin on his face.*

*Shinooq growled and laughed. She ignored the slight red on Amaranth's cheeks because her cheeks would've turned just as red if her fur had been any lighter.*"Sure then."*She got away from him and pounced on his back, nibbling his ear in return.*

*Amaranth yipped and rolled away from her. He spanked the ground then jumped on her tail and bit it playfully. He jumped off quickly and took off running down a steep slope calling:*"Catch me if you ca..."*He suddenly found himself out over a river ten feet below. Looking down like a silly cartoon character he began to drop. His last words were:*"Oh, maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!"*Splash.*
*He looked up at the cliff bank and shook his fur, turning himself into a little puffball.*

*Shinooq, who had begun to chase Amaranth, slid to a stop.*"Amaranth!"*She shouted, turning tail and running down to the river's edge. She couldn't help but laugh when she saw Amaranth, a little red puffball.*"I warned ya!"*She shouted, tackling him into the waters.*

*He jumped out of the water and took off running, looking silly, dripping wet. After going about 10 feet, he stopped and shook himself, turning himself into another little puffball. He spanked the ground, inviting Shinooq to play again.*

Feeling someone lying next to him, he was startled to see something with wings. Jumping up, but still managing to trip over his own paws, he fell down and look squarely at the new comer, growling softly in his throat.*

Feeling someone lying next to him, he was startled to see something with wings. Jumping up, but still managing to trip over his own paws, he fell down and look squarely at the new comer, growling softly in his throat.*

*Shinooq was awoken by a gentle but nervous growl. She stood up and stretched out, looking for Amaranth. Instead she found a vicious looking winged thing with markings under his eyes, much like Amaranth's. Shinooq jumped backwards in shock and fright.*"Who--who are you?"*She asked the red, growling winged thing.*

Instead she found a vicious looking winged thing with markings under his eyes, much like Amaranth's. Shinooq jumped backwards in shock and fright.*"Who--who are you?"*She asked the red, growling winged thing.*

*Amaranth cocked his head to the side.*"Who am I? I am Amaranth. The question is, who are you?"*His big wings flapped outward and started flapping without him controlling them. Rising slowly into the air, he began to struggle. His wings flapped quickly closed. Looking down like a stupid cartoon character, he fell flat on his face and bit his tongue. He yelped in surprise.*

*Now that he really looked at her, he realized that this graceful, beautiful creature was the Shinooq he had always adored. Flapping one finally under control wing open, he covered everything but his eyes with it, trying to hide his seriously blushing face. Standing up, trying to keep his composure, he raised his head high up into the air and bayed a wild note. He then grinned handsomely down at Shinooq and said, with a cocky voice,*"Let's see who can fly faster!"*Taking off into the air, he flew straight ahead, revelling in the feeling of the flight. Not watching where he was going, he slammed headfirst into a tree! Managing to get his back paw caught in a vine, he hung there upside down, with his wings down around his head, grinning stupidly.*

She walked leisurely up to him and looked up at his stupid grin.*"I warned ya."*She said, watching him spin in circles. SHe shook her head and lifted herself off the ground with ease. She bit the vine in half, sending him falling to the ground. She grinned and slipped under him with ease, letting him fall on atop her. She giggled and licked his nose lovingly.*

*Shinooq's jaw dropped. She cocked her head at him, unsure if he was serious or not...he was.*"Uh--uh--Su--sure, Am--Amar--Amaranth. I--I--I'll be y-your m--m--mate."*She stuttered out. She stepped forward and bowed to him in the same manner. She then looked up grinning and blushing...anyone could clearly see it underneath her tan fur. She grinned and licked his cheek lovingly.*

*Amaranth blushed heavily at the lick on the cheek. Not knowing what to do, for it had only been his instincts that he had followed when he had asked her to be his mate. He romped around playfully and tackled her. Pulling a scene from the Lion King, he landed with her on her back and him standing above her. He gave her big wet slobbery kisses all over the place.*
