Homicidal Paperdoll

You can post in here if you please....

This thread is for my thoughts of the day, information on beauty and product reviews.

I was sitting here thinking how much I always hated posting in the 'Introduce Yourself' threads at random forums I would make myself join out of complete and utter boredom. But I suppose this time is different because I have very little to say, which is more than what I normally have.

Yes, I am Homicidal Paperdoll, I have been at Gaia since 2004. Which is a very long time considering it's just a 'paperdoll' forum that is mainly filled to the brim with kids posting threads about something I will probably never figure out in the GD.

Anyway, I appear to be rambling. But I do have an excuse. I'm tired. It's not even past my bedtime. A bedtime at 23 years of age. What do I think I am? An Adult or something? Apparently I am, It's what I've been conditioned to think. If thats even the right word I am looking for.

Apart from the fact that I make stupid little jokes to mildly entertain people and do a fair bit of ramble, I am actually a qualified Beauty Therapist. Yes, I even have a diploma. I do get asked what exactly a Beauty Therapist is. So, here is a list of topics I have learnt about and have hands on experience in doing.

-Nails (Manicures and Pedicures. I have yet to learn acrylics.)
-Massage (which included anatomy and physiology.)
-Facials (skin care, product knowledge.)
-Body Wraps
-Make-Up
-Aromatherapy
-Waxing and other hair removal (facial waxing, legs, arms, back, chest, bikini, brazilian, underarm...phew.)

Yes. A Beauty Therapist basically helps people look good on the outside, which in turn, helps you feel a bit better on the inside. Which is the main purpose as to why I wanted to create this guild. The other reason was to help myself.

But, enough about me for now....

Today I painted my nails. Both fingers and toes. I was thinking how many people take care of their nails. I try to take care of mine but I do get a bit lazy. You're suppose to get a manicure and pedicure once a week to keep your nails up to scratch. Having the right products and equipment also helps.

The list of what you should need to give yourself a proper manicure is as follows.

-Nail file with a course and fine side.
-Orange stick
-Cuticle remover
-Cuticle cream
-Hand soak
-Hand cream
-Nail Polish Remover
-3 types of nail polish. Base, color and top.
-Cotton balls
-Clippers

For a Pedicure just add these to the above list.

-Bucket to soak your feet
-Exfoliant
-Foot file
-And if you have rough dead skin anywhere or corns, it's probably best to buy a corn plane.
-Moisturiser. I would probably suggest anything that is cooling is better for your feet aswell.
-Toe seperators or tissues.

I mainly use products by Manicare. Nail polish colors I have a liking for Rimmel.

What colors do I like? I have been painting my fingernails white. I think it makes your nails and hands look really nice. On my toes I usually stick with darker colors. At the moment I have an obsession with dark reds.
