I decided to buy the Naruto Clash of Ninja: 2 game because, despite the voices, it's really fun... But there are some parts in there that make me realize how happy I am I didn't watch the dubbed version. Kiba's voice... it's even worse than Naruto's... And then Kakashi was talking to Orochimaru (oro's voice is creepy as heck) and Kakashi said: "...one of the legendary San... in." He said it like: "san-een", and, although I hate to admit it, I'm not entirely sure how it's pronounced either, but I'm certain that's not how! And Sakura's voice... it made me cry out in pain. Seriously. She would talk and then I would just burst out "AUUUUGGGGHHHH!" It's so horrible! And naruto's voice... Well, anyway, they pretty much ruined everything. It's horrible. crying

They say almost everything WRONG!
Sa-karaa or SaKUHraa ( stare ......no comment )
Saazgay ( sweatdrop Yes we know he's gay but at least don't ruin his name )
Na-ROO-toe ( ...are they serious )
KaKashEEEE-sensay ( Shee... wtf... )
Ohroh-chee-maru ( Sounds really chopped up )
And the VOICES!!! eek
Gaara sounds like a seventy year old perv that's been smoking for years
Sakura's even MORE annyoing ( Impossible! )
Naruto sounds constipated and at the same time sounds like he might want to kill himself... put the knife down Naruto-kun. )
Orochimaru and Lee...Oh COME ON!!!!
They cut out way too much blood and they changed the two best catch phrases:
Shannaro! = Cha! ( neutral Can't believe I'm saying it but... poor Sakura... )
Dattebayo! = Beleive it! ( stare If you need help killing yourself Naruto-kun then just ask )
cry It's a train wreck of problems... it's a sad sight really...

Pretty much all my school friends watch dubbed and they always pronounce stuff wrong and like rawr!

I really feel that the english dubbing is great. It's funny that the better known voice actors only get minor parts, well except for Steven Blum (Spike from Cowboy Bebop, Mugen from Samurai Champloo, and Tom/Tom2 from Toonami) who plays Orochimaru and Zabuza.

I really don't see why people bash on the Naruto dub like they do. Sure, it's not perfect, but c'mon. The VAs do try, and not a lot has been edited out, contrary to dubs like One Piece and Yu-Gi-Oh. Plus, I agree that the whole "believe it" thing gets annoying, but what about "dattebayo?" Same concept. I really think the Naruto dub deserves more credit than it gets.

You think that's bad? Listen to it in german. NAruto sounds like a 20 year old loser that lives with his mom, Zabuza's voice and Kakashi's voice made me burst out laughing! I thought it was a joke!

The dubbing in general I don't think is that aweful. I like Sasuke's VA, infact his is probably the best one on the show. It bothers me how they pronounce a lot of things wrong as well but I'm sure that's not entirely the VA's faults, more like the directors and translators.
But what really does it for me is Naruto's voice. The moment I hear it I change it because I'm afraid that my ears are going to jump off my head, grow legs and run screaming out the door for thier lives.
I feel so bad though because for Christmas my friend bought me the first Naruto DVD. I thought it would have the choice where you can put it in Japanese with subtitles like all my other anime DVD's but NO they had to be rebellious and keep it Dubbed! gonk I know it's the thought that counts but I feel horrible because I know I'm never going to watch it EVER unless I'm desperate for Naruto, and I mean desperate... burning_eyes

The only thing that bothers me is the mispronunciations of the words. Besides that the dub isn't all that bad.
I love Gai and Lee's voices! They crack me the hell up <3
