I know the special needs kids when I went to Highschool learned like 1 to 3rd grade material. As far as I know not teaching special needs kids higher material is part for the course.

I would think that the treatment would be the same as in the US and UK, but that they really do vilify handicapped people. My friend has a physical handicap and if she enrolled in the "special ed" program in High School they would lower the curriculum, like she was dum or something; She's one of the smartest people I KNOW. She's really smart, but just cause her body is different they want to treat her brain different. I think that it's really gone too far.
