Well after playing the online and offline demo and I loved them both I thought I'd enjoy both. Single player is pretty challenging in my opinion and I got bored/angry with it after awhile. I still play here and there though. It gets repetive though. Although Vegas online is amazing. There's alot of different VS types and Co-Op is a blast. It gets very addicting where instead of just working towards a boring truskill rank you actually get new armor, new weapons from ranking up.

The offline game is pretty cool, but you'll get tired of unrealistic AI.

The online game is where it shines, though. There are a ton of different gametypes to explore, and most of the maps are pretty balanced out. The game isn't a run-and-gun game though, so it requires a little patience. That's not to say you can't run around and shoot wildy at everything, because that's what I do, and it's fun. It's just that if you don't play smart and slow, you wont be racking up those kills like the guys hiding behind walls and crouching for better accuracy. Advancing through ranks to get new tools and weapons is really fun, but unfortunately it will also have you spending lots of hours hearing black guys yell into their mics "YEAH, I GOT YOU MUTHAF***!! I GOT YOU!!" You'll also be encountering hordes of preteens who've just dicovered how much fun a mic can be, and highschool teens who giggle at everything in annoyingly squeaky voices that make your headphones screech. But really, it's just like any other online game that enables mics.

Still, the game rawks. If you haven't rented it yet, do so.

I only play the offline story mode occasionally (working towards the achievement for finishing it) but I absolutely love the online play. There's so many options, and plenty of people to play with.

Probably my favorite feature of the game and online is being able to gain points and rank. You get items (clothes and weapons) as you get promoted and I'm just waiting for the pink camo! Being able to customize your own character that you create is pretty fun, and if you have a vision camera, you can put your own face on your online identity. And it's fun to watch people's mouths move when they talk into their mics XD

I bought the game yesterday, and it's perfect. It's probably the most realistic 1st person shooter I've ever played. Definately buy it.
