 Rengo yawned as he slipped from his family's small den, a mischevious grin spilling onto his dark features. He slipped into the night, an easy task considering most of his fur was black. He only had to worry about the white underbelly and face, but that was easily hidden by the grass around him. His red eyes flicked to the left and he paused a ways off, listening to see if anyone was following. No, sneak out mission complete! He grinned happily to himself and began to hum, headed for the hills.
The moon was unbelievable pretty tonight and he didn't like sleeping anyhow, so it gave him the perfect oppertunety to watch it. There was nothing else to do in these ruddy lands anyhow, and he hadn't really made any friends. Unless you counted that adol, she was pretty nice. But he'd not made any friends his age. Probably because they were all family, and he thought that family didn't count so much as a stranger. He was actually pretty disgusted with how much family he had!
He got to the top of the hill, one of the many, and flopped down. He raised a paw in front of him, toes slightly spread as he examined them. Perfectly white, just as he liked them. He held it there as he glanced from the moon to his paws. Moon paws, he had moon paws! He laughed to himself and let his paw drop, yawning again. Alright, maybe he was a little tired. That might be because he'd been faking sleep for the past couple of hours, who knew.

Tifu whimpered in her sleep as she felt Rengo get up. She turned over, sleep-filled crimson eyes opening blearily to watch him go.
After a few moment of confusion, the smallest cub yawned widely and stretched, stumbling out after her darker brother. Where was he going? It would be her task to find out!
Breaking into a trot, Tifu approached Rengo from behind, her ears laid flat to her head. She watched him quietly for a moment, completely unaware of his thoughts or observations, then hunkered down in the foliage and grinned, tailtip flicking to and fro lazily.
A few minutes of silence went by, and then suddenly, WOOSH! Out jumped the runt of the litter, barreling full speed for her brother's pink-tipped form.

Rengo gave a terrified squack as something thudded against him and he jolded forward. "Wh...whuaah!" He cried out, suddenly falling too far forward. They were on a hill, it was only obvious they'd be rolling down it. "Y-y-yeeipes!" He cried out, shutting his eyes as he went tumbling down the hill. He skidded to a stop and landed with a thump on his stomach, making a face.
Oh wait, something had just attacked! He skittered to his paws, head jerking this way and that. "You watch out, baddie! I'll kill you!" He said, trying to make himself feel better. But then he just felt lame when his eyes landed on his sister. "Tifu, what are you doing here?" He sounded quite surprised. And then he gasped. "Don't tell me, something tried to jump you too, right?" Poor, oblivious Rengo.

Tifu squeaked and clung to her brother as they tumbled forward, squeezing her eyes shut till she felt them bump to the foot of the hill. She then distangled herself from Rengo and grinned. She watched his confusion for a moment, then burst out giggling.
"Rengooooo," the smaller cub managed to squeal out between bursts of laughter, "I jumped in you, Rengo! It was me!" She laughed a bit more, apparently very pleased with herself for having fooled her brother so cleverly.
She then padded forward and plopped herself down in front of him, curling her tail around her forepaws daintily. "What are you doin', Rengo? How come you're out here? It's sleeping time," she observed, ears folding back as she spoke. Tifu was not a fan of breaking rules.

"You?" He stilled looked confused. "Oh.. you did it!" He laughed too, not at all upset with her. When she sat in front of him he nuzzled playfully into her, grooming the top of her head a moment before sitting too. "I'm watching the moon silly! It's really pretty, look." He pointed with one outstretched paw, ears flattening back. "I er... couldn't sleep. Besides if it's sleep time why are you awake?" He grinned, feeling that he'd gotten her for sure!

Tifu grinned and purred lightly as her brother groomed her head.
"The moon?" she repeated, lifting her head and peering up at the sky after Rengo's pointing paw. Oh! It WAS pretty. Very round and silvery and shiny. Tifu watched it for a moment, before yelping as her brother accused her of being out of the den after dark.
"Cause you woke me up when you left! I was just coming to...um.. make sure you didn't get into trouble!" Tifu explained, looking scandilized.

Rengo laughed and purred, shaking his head. "Fat lot of good that will do if mom or dad catches us out here." His devilish grin was back. "They wouldn't believe that even if it was the truth. Besides, why should I stay in the den when I can't fall asleep?" He winked. "Don't you wanna go on an adventure?"
