I too suffer from an obsession with gore and a fear of the dark. Absolutely nothing came to my mind when I looked at the picture. It was after reading other people's comments that I had a few ideas.

Yeah, after I read the other comments, I could see where they were coming from. I find it funny that Jack said it was creepy and Pogo said it was aspiring. blaugh

CraftyUnicorn As for the picture, I made the mistake of reading everyone else's comments first. I've never been very good with anything abstract anyway. To me, it just looks like a typical impression of a kid's drawing. That's exactly the problem. It is only imitating it, and the artist isn't only saying "what does it mean to you," but is asking what you see in it. That probably means that they have consciously embedded meaning into the image. I could be imagining everything I say in that post, but it's about what you see in what the artist has done. Attach the effect you're getting from looking at it to something actually in the work, because at some point it has to stem from the work itself and the artist's decisions to do what they did. Crafty, just because you can't see the things that other people might in one piece, it doesn't mean you are any worse at understanding or experiencing other works of art for it. wink

I dunno about that, Keithing. Despite all of my claims about being an art major, I really suck at things like that. Just ask Jovo! sweatdrop

=/ Really? eek I see the big cross on the right as Jesus with his arms outstretched annd his head tilted up at the sun, calling out his preachings.
The little mounds in front of the house I see as crowds of his disciples.
