My mother's friend is going to Japan in two months.

am thinking this is my oppurtunity to get a Shirou or a Kurumi.

The question is where Volks is located in Japan and if I can get a Shirou or a Kurumi at all, considering that they are of limited edition.

so...out of lack of time to research, here are my questions:

1. Where is Volks at in Japan?
2. How many stores are there?
3. How much are Shirou and/or Kurumi now?
4. Would it be better to get them directly than ordering online?

and many more to come...in the meantime just answer these.

There should be an address on the volks site. I think they've got a store in Tokyo, though. There's an address on the top of their english site, but I'm not sure if that's the store or what. (^^;;; Is this perhaps what you are looking for? -trying to be helpful but doesn't know much about volks- sweatdrop

I want a Kurumi badly.. ;A; She's pretty much the only Volks doll I've fallen for, and naturally it had to be a limited one xD I hope you can get one and avoid those scalpers on ebay! o:’

I'm not really sure about the addresses but they are probably on the Volks site. At the stores you can only get the unlimiteds and a FCS (and maybe left over limiteds, I know they have left over limited at the store in CA but I'm not to sure about the Japanese stores). The only way to get Kurumi was entering the lottery for the Dolpa 16 but thats over and I think the after event is over too. And Shiro, the most current version was with the Another Yourself book. You had to enter the lottery for him too. The only way to get them now is stalking Yahoo!Japan.

Yep. Your only hope really is YahooJapan. Good luck though, if you take that route to find one of these cuties 3nodding

Shirou sometimes pops up on Ebay too. I'd look there first before going on to Y!J. Otherwise, there are DoA sellers around that may be winning to sell you Shirou.

There's Tenshi no Sumika and Tenshi no Sato. They have FCS selections, and at Sato you can get tenshi dolls like Kotenshi Tsubaki or Kyotenshi. I think you can find the addresses on the company site. 3nodding

No, you could not get a Shirou or Kurumi directly from Japan, as they are all sold out.
The only way would be to buy them second hand. ^^

I'm pretty sure that http://volks.co.jp has a list of their locations, along with maps.

Personally I suggest stalking yahoo japan. I see prices go a lot higher on ebay more often. I think it's because there are fewer on ebay and american fans are crazy. Also many don't think to check yahoo japan because they think it'd be too hard.

I'd suggest using http://www.crescent-shop.com since they're the easiest to work with, from my experiance. They're a proxy bidding service that will ship you things from Japan and bid on items for you. Also, they have handy translator things for thier items. :3

I use Rinkya, which is also another bidding service. I don't really know the big differences between Rinkya and Crescent, but I think both are good choices if you're interested.
