OKAY SO, Sam's been trying to figure out Orochimaru's time period within the akatsuki for a while now. (5 months, stfu). I've finally figured out something after watching those two new episode on Cartoon network.

I've got (everything is figured is based on Part 1):

Orochimaru Left Konoha 10 years ago from where the anime currently is in part 1. Now, for what i understand, he left atleast two years after he was refused postion of 4th hokage. Since The icident with Kyuubi happened atleast 12 years ago, that would give 2 years for him to sit and ferment in anger, relising that isn't going that far with his jutsus while he's still in Konoha, forcing himself to leave.

Now that we have the Base number of years being 10, you'd figure that Orochimaru must've joined akatsuki atleast a year later after leaving. Not like he instantly joined as soon as he left, he'd have to learn about it first. Also, take away another three years after he leaves for him to set up Oto.

That gives you 7 years in the akatsuki.

NOW, Itachi.

Itachi left the village at age 13, after killing his clan. Sasuke would've been 7, since Itachi is 6 years older than his brother. Giving him 5 years. Take away a year to find and join the Akatsuki. That leaves you with 4.

Orochimaru leaves the akatsuki a year after Itachi joins.

The role Orochimaru played in Akatsuki is unclear, as are his reasons for leaving sometime later. He admits that Itachi Uchiha's growing power had made it impossible for him to acquire his body and thus he chose to go after the much weaker Sasuke Uchiha instead. He eventually founded his village, Otogakure. (taken from Wikipedia.)

Now that we know Itachi would've been in The Akatsuki for atleast a year before Oro leaves, the above statement is true. Otogakure is the spawn of Orochimaru's anger of not beng able to use Itachi as his next vessle, leading him to create a village. Obviously he would've planned ahead about the invasion of Konoha, the current arc in the american Anime.

So yeah, accroding to my calculations, Orochimaru would've left Akatsuki atleast 3 years ago, letting him be active in the Orginization for ATLEAST 7 years.

....I really need a better way to spend my time, something better than trying to figure out how the past 10 year's of a villian's life in a fictional work was spent. XD;
