Below are some good conversion tips if you (like me) are confused about cups, ounces, grams, etc.

Also, here's my quick list of terminology (that I use anyway) so if you're reading one of my recipes and can't understand what I'm talking about, well, this should help:
tsp = teaspoon
tbsp = tablespoon
pk = package
(I'll add more as I come across them...)

That would be wonderful! I'm afraid all I have is in books, so it requires me typing it up, or searching the net for something!

Ok so from what I have found...

1 cup = 230 Grams (Approx)

The rest I shall get onto ASAP

We have conversions!!!

I found this lovely chart in the back of one of my recipe books. So here goes:

Volume
1/4 tsp = 1ml
1/2 tsp = 2ml
1 tsp = 5ml
1 tbsp = 15ml
1/4 cup = 50ml
1/3 cup = 75ml
1/2 cup = 125ml
2/3 cup = 150ml
3/4 cup = 175ml
1 cup = 250ml

Weight
1oz = 30g
2oz = 55g
3oz = 85g
4oz = 115g
5oz = 140g
6oz = 170g
7oz = 200g
8oz = 250g
16oz = 500g
32oz = 1000g

I have oven temperatures here as well, so if anyone needs those let me know and I'll type those up as well!

You should get a nice big long one and make it all pretty and then make it PRINTABLE. And then you can attach it to the inside of the cupboard or whatever and you'll have it forever and always!

remember chemistry? 1gram = 1 mL
That means your 1 ounce bottle of extract or dye is 2 tbsp. You can figure out more.
When you use conversion websites they may say cubic centimeter or m^3. One cubic centimeter is 1 mL.

Here's a site that doesn't have lists, but rather several calculators for just about anything you'd ever want (how many cake would I need to line up along the equator to go all the way around the world?)

www.onlineconversion.com

takes the convenience out of printing one out, but still if you're dying to know something that is not on a chart - this site is the site for you.

I really gotta come back here more often. If I don't learn to cook more than I do now... I'll be like every other soon to be single spinster in NYC.
