Been screwin' around in OC as of late, not too-too impressed. Mostly trying a bunch of things, don't know which works best for me. gonk
I'm looking more into the colouring than the lines or that s**t, the lines wasn't what I was concentrating on. o:   (And before anybody says anything, yes I know the exit wound should be bigger and fleshier than that. xD )

The coloring on the first one is great. The style fits the lines really well.
The second looks unfinished to me. I'd personally go with higher contrast, darker shadows, to emphasize the strong light. You don't need large areas of shadows to show that she's brightly lit, but with some nice strong shadows, you can really bring out some extra detail in its shaping.
third one looks good. hard to crit, since it's inverted, but as far as creating a magical, fairy-like effect, it works for me =)
fourth looks good on the coloring. I think her hair could use some more substance. Since the shadows are the same color as her skin/background, it's making her hair look like it's thinning a little.
I'd like to see more of the last style you used in full color mrgreen
