this is just a collab of some poems i did. dont like dont read.
Something Serious by Danah-Hime
I'm sitting in my room, Thinking of something serious Many serious things in fact All swimming fervently through my head.
Work, education, the future All something I need to think about For when the time comes That I need to lay down the rules
But that something serious Seems wrong somehow I can feel my childish heart drown Pleading for a childish thought or dream
So I forget for a while I'm a princess of Africa, spotted with diamonds I'm a warrioress of a volcanic island I choose to be someone different
Seriosness is alright But there are times when I need to let go
Laughing in a Dark Room
As I sit with the people So dark and dreary I will laugh though my face Be worn and weary
As I count the tiles On the dark ceiling I will laugh and laugh Till my insides are reeling
As the people stare At my strange acting I will laugh to the skies Like a maniac ranting
As the people leave Uttering mutters I will laugh to the ground And the rats in the gutter
As time passes by So quickly and frightening I will laugh with the children Playing with the rain and lightning
As the time comes to an end And as I take my leave I give one more laugh To this solemn reprieve
Because even the darkest room can hold laughter
A Slow Song
Slowly singing While church bells are ringing Slowly singing With the future time is bringing
Slowly dancing With the youthful ones prancing Slowly dancing Like a sword man’s lancing
Slowly staring At the loved ones, caring Slowly staring A new generation raring
Slowly charming To the boys who are farming Slowly charming To an experience so alarming
We sing We dance We stare We charm We are the beat of a slow song
I Am But a China Doll
I am but a china doll Who sits upon the mantle I am too fragile and weak to play with you
I cannot run, nor sing, nor dance I merely exist to look pretty for you I can’t do anymore than smile sweetly
All I can do is watch you stare Happily at first, but it fades You grow bored with me easily
Then you show me off to your friends Hoping to squeeze out some usefulness I can’t do anything, I just stand there
I depend on you very much Without you I would still be waiting in that box Hoping someone will come and take me out
You don’t love me very much But I am but a china doll What is there to love?
tell meh what you think

All of your poems carry a bit of charm to them, but your poem Laughing in a Dark Room, specifically the fifth stanza, stood out to me. The meter was simple and caught me easily.
