2500 = lots. srsly talk2hand
That's for 300,000,000 people. That's roughly 1machine/120,000 people. About 1/10,000 people is into DDR enough to actually play AC frequently. That's 12 active players per machine. Not bad, if you ask me. There's actually a surplus, now that the scene's died down. Back when one out of every 200 people frequented an arcade playing DDR though. . . Yeah, we could have done with a lot more machines.

It would be fun if DDR was a national sport xd This puts an end to constant outside gyms. >_> But being it a national sport does have its consequences and problems

Lord Thatlatu of the Tofu omiyashi0 Hell yeah! DDR has to become a sport! It has more physical exertion than any widely recognized sport! Fixed; so does sex. 1. Sex isn't a sport. 2. You fixed it and messed it up again;; Now it's fixed.
Anyways... I don't disagree with DDR becoming a sport, but it should just be a competition. Like competition cheerleading. I mean, a sport is normally played in schools and on the field. And I doubt schools and teams could afford to buy a lot of DDR machines for people to just stomp on constantly. Then you also have to realize that it's not like a gazillion people play it like soccer/football/basketball. Once you've played all the competition there's nothing left. And there's different DDR games, that also narrows the amount of people who'll actually play it as a sport, not everyone knows the same songs as the other.

That was the entire point. As said, there're already DDR tournaments all over the place, so it's not like becoming a sport would do anything for it.

Whatever it goes, it can be a sport or competition. Sports is competition. Competiting to find out who / team is the best.
