I just finished a course in web design that used Dreamweaver, Flash, Movie Maker, and a few others. Before I took it I'd been using Frontpage with mostly outright coding. Imo Dreamweaver is a pretty nice program for throwing a few pages together, but I got frustrated on more than one occasion with it (the automatic features, and if I tried to do anything real fancy) and found myself back to pure coding, which I have to agree with Silver803 on - it's alot faster.
Not knowing what college you're going to I would recommend checking their course catalog - with the "information age" alot of colleges will offer courses in these programs that can be fun and informative.

I would think that Dreamweaver would be easier to use either for people who don't know html well, or when using Flash.
I'm not quite sure about college yet, I just know I am going out of state. I prefer California. Washington, Texas, and South Carolina would work for me to so if anyone knows any colleges in this area I could attend to major in graphic design, let me know.
