Mmm...it makes me want to go watch it again.
The thing about GitS...GitS was bloody brilliant. GitS:SAC was both visually stunning and totally engaging. GitS2:I was...eh...I was sort of annoyed with it. For some reason, it seemed to me like 2 hours of an acid trip...why it couldn't match the first movie and the series in quality (personal feelings), I don't know. Maybe it was just a necessary awkward transition. I literally feared watching SAC because I saw Innocence first...and let out a sigh of relief after about 5 minutes into the first episode.
But the video...nice find. I couldn't really tell, but could you tell if that a rip from MTV Japan?

I just couldn't get into SAC... I just think GitS is more suited for Movies than Series... kind of like Armitage... I just couldn't see an armitage series being worthwhile... the movies are incredible, but it's not series material...

It's suprising to me that a music video of an anime is featured on any music station in that fassion.
Also, I'm now thinking of searching for more CP vids. Any ideas, guys?

_I actually enjoyed the first season of SAC better than the first. And I will agree that the overall feel of Innocence didn't match up too well with the first movie. Has anyone else seen the GitS: SAC: Solid State Society movie? Its a ghost in the shell movie that is set in the SAC universe instead of the one the first two movies are from. Acutally rather good.
_And Armitage: the Third was originally released as a 4 part OVA, the movie has almost an hour taken out of it, which is mostly development of the characters and the political aspect of the problems being faced in the series. And yes, the second movie [dual-matrix] kinda blew a**. I can't stand Panning in animated shows using a single still image, gives it a very cheap feel. Story wasn't too bad, just the animation and direction.

I have the OVA series, What I mean is it couldn't be converted into a 26+ episode series with a running story very well... it's a lot better in large one to six at a time doses...

ah, ok. Yeah, a full series running the same storyline wouldn't be too fun. _They would have to run alot of fluff episodes. But on the otherhand, given the expansive setting of both earth and mars and who knows where else, their could be the potential for a decent series staring Naomi and Ross. _Have you ever seen Dominion Tank Police, the movies or the OVA series? It's an older work of Shirow Masamune, the artist behind Ghost in the Shell, it's definitely a good place to get Cyberpunk ideas. When I was younger I always wanted a little Boneparte mini tank! 4laugh

I remember it being clean to look at, fairly light in mood (lighter than GitS), and having a very good storyline. I didn't know that was Shirow Masamune, though...huh, the things you learn on the 'net...

_Yeah, It was his earlier style [look at any of his artbooks]. The tech style along with his unique take on the female form [anipuna and unipuna] had alot of an 80s really early Cyberpunk feel to it. It's easier to see the resemblance when you look at Dominion Tank Police and Appleseed than Dominion Tank Police and Ghost in the Shell. That is unless you look at the Ghost in the Shell Mangas, where GitS 2: Man-Machine Interface is by far the best graphically if not story-wise and you can still get it alot of places. I had my local borders order the compiled graphic novel version for $25 USD. It's missing some of the more explicit pages [2 or 3 I think] that were in the serialized version, but the compiled version is cheaper and I got scans of the missing pages floating somewhere on my computer. _I have a calendar I'm trying to hi-res scan, Ill post a link when I get them up.

Oh, and another video to check out...Akira done to Gravity Kills' Enough. It's not exactly Ghost in the Shell...but it's pretty damn good.
