My parents also thik it a waste of time and money. But its my money, so they cant do anything.
Luckily I buy my manga used and off the internet, so its cheap. I'm also pretty good at setting aside a certain amount of $ just for manga after I get my paycheck. As for the amount of volumes I have....40 something and still growing. But thats only from 3 series. I have to REALLY like a series to actually buy it.
