I dunno some of these are so...tame! xd

I LOVE Ditry Jobs (nevermind my lust for Mike Rowe)! It's such a hilarious show. I used to work in the food industry and trust me, it PALES to what people do on that show. I've had friends who work at McDonald's and really, the playplaces aren't too bad. It annoys me when they AREN'T clean.

Like most jobs, the worst part is the people, lol.

Haha, I was watching Dirty Jobs and they asked a guy who worked at a waste treatment facility if he ever got used to the smell. The answer was a resounding "no."

On a different level, being a McDonald's employee seems pretty bad, especially if there's a Playplace in said McDonald's.

Did you see the DIrty Jobs with the 'Poop Pots'?? Yeck. That would be pretty bad.

The worst job I ever had was my first job when I was 16. I cleaned cages in a veterinary clinic. Let me tell you...it does NOT get much worse than that. The things a dogs bowels do after surgery is just....ewwww....it's not pretty and certainly don't smell like roses.

Hmm....there's a Dirty Job Mike Rowe hasn't done yet! Maybe I should email.

I think being the person who cleans the viewing booths at porn shops would be the one job I would never do. I mean think what goes on in those booths, I heard they have to wear hazmat suits just to clean em each day.

xp

I don't even want to know how you came up with that thought. whee

God Bless those caretakers in retirement homes and geriactric hospitals. You've got to be saint or have a heck of a lot of compassion to work in one of those facilities and have to change adult poopy diapers. eek
I dunno, right now I, and everyone in my extended family, is quite pissed at Retirement homes. My Grandfather is 73, and Adult Protective Services decided that my Grandmother could no longer care for him, so they stuck him into a Retirement home.

In less than a week they dropped him onto a metal carrier(He has MS and cannot walk), and broke his Leg, hip, and cracked his skull. My Grandfather has had MS for longer than I've been alive, I've never seen him walk, and yet my Grandmother has taken perfect care of him teh entire time. grr. scream

*not a rant against you, mAOri*

If the job was fairly simple, I'd take one of them dirty jobs over some of the normal ones. I'd rather deal with crap or dead bodies then work with people or handle money... Living people suck and the thought of being blamed to stealing money (or actually stealing money) isn't cool.

I have worked in a retirement home and a nursing home. I have worked in cancer units of a hospital. You see a lot of stuff....the homes are the way they are cause they don't pay their employees zilch....and they don't have enough employees to take care of the patients. It is not an easy job and it can be full of poor too! I worked as a NA for years and never wanted to be anything else...ielllnurse , cause I had seen too many 'burnt out" nurses'. I didn't want to be that person.

Hehe, it's not cleaning the Playplace I'm objecting to, but babysitting the squalling kids. At the mall, there's a McDonald's with a Playplace, and people literally dump their kids there while they go shopping! Of course, they're the same imbeciles who would think to sue McDonald's if their kids end up getting some severe head trauma from falling off the slide or something.

And mm, Mike Rowe. That guy cracks me up, especially when he says "poo." There's my immature moment.

Proctologist. Imagine spending a thousand years in college to get your doctorate, only to decide to dedicate your life to the examination of the human body's most objectionable orifice by far. Sure, good money but....ewww! *shudders* gonk

I always wondered what motivated people to get that kind of job. Imagine the kind of person who wakes up one day and goes, "Y'know, I think I'm going to dedicate my life to investigating buttholes." Or other orifices. Or feet. I mean, bless 'em, since they're necessary for societal health, but still. It's just kinda weird.

Fear of insects/rodents, or not wanting to work with poison gases? xd

Both.

Insects crawling all over doesn't sound like fun. I'm not a fan of rodents either. The chemicals are pretty toxic too.
