Kafele was still searching for a place to live when he stumbled upon a Crater. Of course he didnt know where he was or what this place was. He pawed the dusty earth in curiousity as he begain to look the place over it wasnt as nice as the lush areas he had encoutered before but maybe it still had something to offer.

Dark ears swivvled forward as strange glove-marked legs and tiny red paws churned up dust. The gray stuff tinged her black fur, like it always did, though normally every once in a while she'd stop to lick herself clean. A princess had to look good after all right?
Gold eyes shimmered in the gray half light, watching the strangely marked other as he traipsed along the edges of her pridelands. The princess had no problem with others, but she'd been told by her father to be wary of strangers.
But why start now when she'd greeted every other stranger that had come this way?
"Hello?" Maru called out, keeping her body hidden in the puffs of gray smoke that were swelling around her. ninja

Kafele stopped in his tracks and lifted his head in the direction the voice had come from. The gray smoke covered the cub very well, but most things could stay hidden from Kafele if they wanted to. He had no idea how to use his natural hunting skills to find that which was hidden so Kafele stood more or less in a pose that would lead one to beleave he would dart off at any given moment. Kafele's green eyes scaned the area and he sniff lightly only to fill his nose with the gray smoke which burned lightly seeing as he wasnt used to it. "...Hello?" Kafele's voice held cation as well as a forced aire of bravery about it. His claws extended like they had in his fight with the blind lioness, even though he hadnt told them too.

Taking two steps out of the gray smoke, enough that her body was at least fairly visible, Maru's sharp golden eyes came visible first, appearing to just float through the smoke until the rest of her body followed. She was a very tiny little cub and so posed no real threat to the adult male before her, but she could be described as quite creepy when she wanted to be. The little lioness had been called by some 'the princess of darkness' not only for her fur and personality but for her marking in the center of her chest. The mark of darkness and the mark of the heartless lions that had come before.
"Hello there." Her voice was was innocent, enough to belay any thought that she would be a wicked little thing, just because of where she lived didn't mean she had to BE wicked after all. Sure she got her cosmic jollies messing with others sometimes, but for the most part she was pretty sweet, her father had seen to that. ninja
