for me if people don't know the whole "[Q] story" its not my place to tell them even if it will help them avoid embaressment or the like.
Oh great, there's a whole "Q story" now? That's awesome.
My problem is nobody SHOULD be embarrassed about what they say. I don't care is somebody decides to call me a he and some other person called me a she. I don't care what people think as long as they make their own decision and don't try to make someone else see it their way.
Which means that Person A PMing person B about a statement they made and saying "Oh, hey, you should know this about Q, for future reference..." is in direct violation of the "You'll be cool with Q if you follow these unwritten/unspoken rules" agreement.
I have [hopefully] made it well known I am an androgyne. That means both niether male nor female and both. It can be either/or/and/nor. I don't care what conclusion you come to as long as it's your own and you don't interfere with anybody else's decision.
Now, if somebody directly ASKS me, I will tell them. But going out of your way to "inform" somebody just makes the person you informed look and feel stupid. And I don't want that being associated with whomever PMed that person OR me.
But yes, back to the topic.

Back to the topic though. I think I have figured out that a date is. A date is 2 people who have some kind of attraction to each other meeting at a place at a specific time in order to relax and get to know each other.
Agreed.
