I was just browsing around in the original Simply Love guild.....and in one of the threads, someone said something that caught my eye....
....Does Hinata like Naruto because she pities him?
confused Of course, I disagree. But...I have to admit that it had me thinking for a bit at first.... ._. *slaps self* Shame on me. >.<

It's okay to express your opinion! But no, I don't think it's out of pity. You can just tell by the way she acts around him. He inspires her to do better and to make herself a better person. She loves how he cheers for her and seems to care about her without Naruto really realizing it. I assumed she didn't get that feeling very often, with the way the Hyuugas are; very strict and clan-oriented. Meh. That's my opinion.

No she does not pitty him. Hinata can relate to Naruto and his situation. Like him she is an outcast. She is counted as a failure by her own father. No what draws Hinata to Naruto is his spirit, the fact that he does not let his bad situation get him down. She wishes she was more like Naruto, had some of his good qualities.
Naruto is who she wants to be like, open with his feeling and attitudes, not afraid to speak his mind regardless of the result.

You're right. You're both right. ^^ Yeah, I should know myself that Hinata doesn't pity Naruto. I mean, part of the reason she likes him is because she's similar to him. She looks up to him, not down on him. rolleyes
Meh. Somehow, I feel really stupid/ashamed right now. sweatdrop Sorry.

I think everyone else has stated it perfectly. It's a really good point to think about, actually.
But like the others have said, I don't think she pities him, but has an understanding of what he was going through.
So don't feel stupid. It's actually a good think to think about these things, so that you and I and everyone else can get a clearer view on what NaruHina is. <3

hinata does see naruto as someone to inpire her... but what about her thinking she can inpire him? i mean she can't have missed their inpiration moment before the chunin exams. heart
