It's not the same as Scottish Country Dancing though. Lyrical: I think it's modern but i don't know if it's the same.

My friend does highland dancing. She's quite incredible. She did it in the talent show with the swords on the ground in an 'X' and trying not to step on them... It was really cool.
And lyrical is like ballet... it's really emotional and not so strict. It sort of tells a story... It is a lot like a jazz, ballet, and modern mixture. Sort of. It's kind of a thing of it's own, not really easy to describe. But it sure as heck is fun! xd
