Angels. Everyone has heard of them. Some believe angels are messengers of God, others believe them to be demons. Still others believe them to be invisible guardians, protecting humans from harm. And there is a handful who believes they are ordinary people, performing subtle miracles in people's lives. Yet all in all, angels are considered mythical, imaginary, not real.

Little do they know, angels do exist.

Beneath the cover of the bustling life of modern civilization, a war is raging. Two sides, Heaven and Hell, have been fighting for control of Earth for millennia. The pure angels, followers of God, are battling against their one-time brethren, the fallen angels, servants to Satan. Their eyes are set on the world, searching, waiting. Why? Well . . .



Many years ago a prophet foretold of the birth of four Halfs: angels of mixed blood, born from both a fallen and a pure. They were predicted to end the war, with one group rising victorious. The warning in the prophecy is clear: one side must have all four before the war can end.

Modern day. Both sides know the Halfs have been born. Both sides seek to bring the Halfs to their side. Who will triumph? The pure angels and Heaven? Or the fallen and Hell? The final battle draws near . . .

Yes, there are pre-mades. For those making made-ups, these are what I would consider acceptable profiles. If you want to be a pre-made, please PM me with an RP sample. I will either accept or decline it.

I would like it if the pre-mades were taken first before I start to get any made-ups. It would also be preferable if a male took a male character and a girl took a girl character. (It doesn't confuse me that way, and it would be a little more realistic ^^")

By the way, the Halfs don't know their angel abilities until they meet up with the actual angels, whether pure or fallen, and get the prophecy explained to them.

Halfs
Name: Lorna Kishimoto
Nickname: Lori (by Samuel)
Angel Alias: The Blind Angel
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Angel Race: Half
Appearance: (Lorna does cover her mutilated eyes with cloth, but her eyes do not bleed)
Personality: Quiet, withdrawn, and a loner, Lorna never had a single friend her whole life. The only person she's been close to is her older twin brother, Samuel. Inwardly kind and loving, Lorna has been shunned by others, so she doesn't outwardly show it. However, she wishes people would accept her and her twin for who they are, and blames herself for her brother's loneliness.
Abilities: As a Half, Lorna has a mixture of both fallen and pure angel abilities. Her blood, in right amounts, has the power to heal, but anything other than that would spell death to anyone who touches or drinks it. Her feathers, a translucent cloudy grey, will glow in the dark, but they are razor-sharp and leave painful splinters if held improperly. Since she has been blind since youth, Lorna's other senses have been heightened, so she can hear and smell better than anyone else, and her taste and touch senses are more sensitive. Lorna's tears, at times normal, at times blood, can turn into the purest crystal, which has healing properties when swallowed.
Weapons: Lorna's most favoured weapon is the bow and arrow. She has a short-bow and a quiver of arrows, but she prefers longbow. Later on she gets a longbow, a set of daggers fashioned from her moulted feathers and a short sword that her brother made for her.
History: Lorna and Samuel live with their parents in a small house attached to the small clinic their parents work in. She and her sibling attend private school. Lorna was blinded when she was 5. Several of the older girls, teasing her about her naturally white hair and grey eyes, were cutting her hair when Samuel burst in, ready to defend his sister. She had been struggling, and when the girl holding the scissors jerked in surprise at Samuel's entrance, the scissors slashed Lorna's eyes.
As Lorna readjusted to her new sightless life, she began to sharpen her other senses. Her family, too, readjusted, and once things in the house and clinic were set down, nothing really moved, so she could find the items she needed.
Other: Lorna has a mental and spiritual bond with Samuel. They know where the other is and if something bad has happened to one of them, the other can feel it. She and her brother stick together, defending each other and helping each other out. They have never gotten into a fight.

Appearance:
Personality: Similar to his twin sister Lorna, Samuel is a kindly soul, gentle and serene. He is slow to anger and quick to help, always there to wipe away a tear or lend a hand in work. Though a wonderfully nice guy, for some reason he's still a loner, like his sister. However, he remains compassionate and helpful, hopeful that someone will acknowledge and thank him.
Abilities: Like the other Halfs, Samuel has a mix of both fallen and pure abilities. His blood is a powerful cure-all, but with metal wings, his feathers are sharper and more deadly than any fallen's. On top of that, Samuel has a knack for weapons making and metalworking, and he can make the best metal objects known to man and angel.
Weapons: Technically, Samuel can wield any weapon he wants, but his favourite is the light and fast rapier. He's made a wooden one, which he calls "Kishuri", but he wants to make a real one. Later on he gets his wish, and his new rapier carries his old one’s name: Kishuri.
History:
Other: Samuel has a mental and spiritual bond with Lorna. They know where the other is and if something bad has happened to one of them, the other can feel it.

Personality: As her name suggests, Annamaria is a bitter person, always seeing the negative side of things. Though she looks innocent, she is quick to anger and even quicker to fight. Her vitriolic tongue has oft gotten her into trouble; not that she cares. She believes that the world is a pointless corrupted place, and has tried to kill herself several times.

Personality: The cheer of the Halfs, Daniel is perhaps the lightest of the group. Brave, friendly, and optimistic, he is a complete opposite of his twin sister Annamaria. Where she is cold and uncaring, he is there to mend hearts and make friends, despite his first impression of being a total rebel. He is, in a sense, the modern-day

Appearance:
Personality: As her Angel Alias implies, Joan is an angel with a heart of gold. With a smile warm enough to melt the coldest heart, she is selfless and caring, usually putting other's thoughts and emotions before her own. She rarely gets angry; there have only been a handful of cases in which she showed anger. However, she is powerful in battle, and ferociously protects her friends and home. To many Fallen, she is referred to as the Holy Terror.

Weapons: Though she knows how to wield most any weapon, Joan prefers to use her Valkyrie Staff. Its head is a trident and the two lightning bolts as side spears, but it also doubles as a blunt weapon. (She’s holding it in the picture.)

Personality: Michael is an impulsive, powerful angel. As the strongest angel after the Virtues, he is imbued with the sense that it is his duty to keep Heaven safe. Courageous, headstrong, and often reckless in battle, Michael is perhaps the most serious of angels, rarely showing relaxed, calm behaviour or a gentle smile.

Personality: A soft-spoken, often shy individual. Gabriel is, by many human terms, a kind of pushover, but a lovable one. Friendly and open, Gabriel often greets others with a smile or a wave. He’s very hard-working; as the messenger of God, he has a lot to do. Nonetheless, he enjoys his duties and does them with dedication.

Personality: Lucifer is evil. No kidding. If Joan was the embodiment of pure good, then Lucifer is the embodiment of pure evil. Ruthless, cruel, and cunning, Lucifer is the leader of the fallen angels and second-in-command in Hell. He kills without remorse, and relishes in the sight of suffering and blood.

History: Everyone knows the story of Lucifer. Once the most powerful of Arch-Angel, second only to God himself, Lucifer was the greatest angel in Heaven. However, the power and fame corrupted him, and he began to believe he was equal to God. He corrupted many others, and soon God had no choice but to cast Lucifer and all his followers from Heaven. After failing to remain in Heaven, and cast down to Earth by God, Satan offered to let them join him in his fight against God. Lucifer agreed, and Satan turned their wings black. Lucifer, being an Arch-Angel, kept his two pairs of wings, and elected six others to join him as the Arch-Angels of Hell.

If you want to make a character, use the form below and PM it to me. A few pointers:

The Age Issue: As you know, angels are immortal, so they remain looking one way forever, never physically aging. Since angels have been around since the beginning of time, it would be impossible to guess their actual age. So when filling out the age section, enter the age at which the angels physically appear.

Seven Virtues and the Seven Sins: I am only accepting 6 Virtues and 6 Sins, since two of the pre-mades – Joan and Lucifer – are already a Virtue and a Sin respectively. Your made-up arch-angels will not and cannot be the leader of the Sins or Virtues, because Joan and Lucifer occupy those positions. For the Angel Alias, put down the name of the Virtue or the Sin you want to be. Once the Sins and the Virtues are taken up I will no longer allow anyone to make a Virtue or a Sin. Please check the Character List to see which ones are free. I’ll need an RP sample for this one.

For any of you who need help:

Name: Simple enough. It can be any name you want. You don't need or have a last name; angels are one big family. Literally.
Nickname: A name other than your Angel Alias, e.g. if a person's name was Gareth their nickname could be Gar, or Gary.
Angel Alias: What you're known as among the angels e.g. The Gentle Angel, The Psychotic Fallen, etc. etc. Try to think along the lines of your angel's personality. We don't need a Peaceful Angel running around slaying everyone like a lunatic. That's Lucifer's job.
Age: See the Age Issue (above). Try not to go THAT extreme; even as angels, anyone older than around 40 is going to suffer from slowed reaction time and the like.
Gender: Yes, it's gender, not sex. Again, simple enough. It's either male or female. No unknowns, everyone has a gender. Everyone.
Angel Race: Pure, Fallen, Grey, or One-winged. If you're going to be an Arch-Angel, state whether you're a Pure or a Fallen. There is NO such thing as a Grey or One-Winged Arch-Angel or Fallen. Not in this RP.
Personality: How your character is like. Are they upbeat and hyper or just downright gloomy? Be creative.
Abilities: For your abilities, you can simply copy the powers you have according to the type of angel you want to be. You can also add one or two other abilities as you see fit, but have some common sense. A fallen angel will not have healing others as one, because they hate life. On the same note, a pure angel won't have poisonous breath or something of the sort because they want to preserve life.
Weapons (if any): Self-explanatory. If your character can use more than one weapon, state their favourite one, or the one they're most comfortable with wielding.
Other: Anything else you may like to add, like crushes, hobbies, etc.
Role-Playing Sample: This won't appear on the list once I've accepted it, but do it anyways. You don't necessarily have to make this in the context of your angel, but it would be good. This will affect your yay or nay, mind you.
