katybutterfly Rhiannon2006 I read somewhere that Series Three will have a few more off-Earth locales. Yippee! But Twisted Davros does bring out a good point about why the Doctor seems so tied to Earth. Could be why RTD doesn't venture too far or too long away from Earth. 3nodding There are at least two alien planets in the next series. One is in Episode Three and another is called Malcassairo, according to Production Notes in DWM 378. I don't mind it being Earthbound too much, so long as there are alien planets (interesting ones), good aliens and interesting time periods. But it's good to get out and about, really. Actually, - ahh, in one of the upcomming episodes (series three) wasn't it mentioned that the Doctor tries to settle down and have a life on earth? for one episode, anyway, then he gets back out and... stuff... I can't look for it now, I have to go to bed. School tomorrow... gonk

Twisted Davros I wish everyone would stop whinging about Doctor Who being so Earth-centric for two reasons: One - It makes the show look better visually. Unless they screw up monumentally as long as they kep it on Earth no-one can complain about crappy sets (Dragonfire anyone?) Two - It makes sense storyline wise that the Doctor would spend so much time on Earth. With Gallifrey gone Earth becomes like his surrogate home planet. He's so much more focused on Earth now because it's all he has left. Point two is fine, but point one? I doubt many would complain that muchabout crap sets. Yes, have a laugh about the sets, get on Dead Ringers again. It would hardly damage the show at all. So long as they actually use the time-travelling function of the TARDIS, Earth is bearable. But so far, most of the storylines on Earth have been set in boring old urban London with aliens running around or everyone's favourite secret organization has been failing rather terribly in keeping itself secret. There's only so much you can do in two present-day cities before the viewers get bored of it. And I, personally, am getting very bored of it, very quickly.

Thank you soooo much for those spoilers. I haven't been able to get the latest issue of DWM yet because I'm away on holiday. A monster that no one is expecting to see back....... I guess that would be the phallic beast that was in 'The Creature From The Pit' I don't think anyone is expecting to see that back lol.
Also I've started reading Human Nature in preparation for this episode and it's really, really good. For those of you who don't know it features the Seventh Doctor and Bernice and be found on the BBC's Doctor Who website in the Classic Series eBooks section.

No prob... well... it did take me ages to bold all the headings, but otherwise it was no trouble. Yeah I gotta get around to reading Human Nature, I read a few lines once but then got distracted and never went back to it....
